Why are Skills Intrinsic to Economic Development?
Better Skills
Better Jobs
Better Lives
Intrinsic Links; How do we
Develop the right skills to respond to labour market needs?
Ensure skills are fully utilised by employers and relevant to our regions’ needs?
Using workforce development to help tackle unemployment,
Stimulate new highly skilled value added jobs?
Foster better skills during economic transition, and increasing unemployment, in particular for youth?
