THE ISOLATORThe “ISOLATOR” LENCO’s NEW “Patent Pending” Electrode Holder that is designed to create a safer working environment for today’s welder when used as recommended.The welder, with a simple pull of the welding cable, can engage the locking mechanism disconnecting the cable from the electrode holder. This action protects the welder from OCV that is inherent in all SMAW stick welders. When the “ISOLATOR” locking mechanism is engaged the welder is able to insert an electrode, position the electrode into tight difficult areas, or lay the holder down. By pressing the button on the handle current is reconnected and the welder is ready to strike an arc.
