The Ithaka Project -09intends to

- give women new oppurtunities to

develop within their working

situations- - teach men more about womens

positions in the region in the future

- gender equality is nothing else but great evaluation – on local, regional, national and global level

- better knowledge of gender and power structures are of vital importance in organisations

- more organisations work seriously in order to reach gender equality – for better profitability

Targets and purpose

- the Ithaka Project gives the mentee special support at her present or future managerial level

- the Ithaka Project gives managers more knowledge and better understanding in the importance of the gender role in working life

- the Ithaka Project supports the organisation in the internal headhunting process

- mentees and mentors are satisfied with the participation in the Ithaca Project

The Ithaka Project -08has a start – and an end

- - during one years time the mentee and mentor work together

- - if you want to learn to know another person – it takes time!

- - it is a priviligied experience

- one year passes very quickly!

Meetings between mentor and mentee is a completely new experience

- it is a professional relation

- gives the possibility to recovery time and time for reflections

- and creates new networks in Östergötland

Qualified lectures and a process focused working

- stateowned working places, local authorities and private companies participate

- a mutual learning

- seminars for both mentors and mentees

- residential courses about leadership

The Ithaka Project -09– for brave women and men

Two explicit demands:- the mentees want progress and

are prepared to increase their responsibilities as a manager in the future

- the mentors have an ambition to contribute so that women and men have the same chances to make a career in the future

The mentees

- are women who are selected by the management within the organisation to participate in the Ithaka Project

- are young women who already belong to the management level or are identified as possible, future leaders

- are women who are firmly established in the organisation

- are women who have expressed a wish to develop and have revealed an ambition to get a managerial post

The mentors

- have prominent positions and are highly respected for their knowledge, competence and position at the working place

- are either men or women

- have expressed a wish to develop and believe in the idea of mutual learning

The mentors

- are confident and ready for greater tasks

- have a wide cirkle of contacts that he or she use in a favourable way for the mentee

- have clearly stated to use the necessary time for the Ithaka Project

Kostnader Projekt ITHAKA-08 är ett mycket förmånligt ledarutvecklingsprogram! Två personers deltagande (adept + mentor) i Projekt Ithaka-09 kostar arbetsplatsen totalt 54 000 kronor exkl. moms.  I priset ingår förutom utbildningsinsatsen alla kostnader för övernattning och förtäring i samband med de schemalagda internat (fyra för adepten och ett för mentorn) som ingår, alla kostnader för förtäring och lokaler i samband med start- och avslutningskonferens samt viss litteratur.

Kostnader för egna resor samt för förtäring vid forskarseminarierna på utvalda arbetsplatser i länet ingår emellertid inte. Adepterna har ca 14 dagar schemalagd tid och mentorerna ca 7 dagar.

För att garantera en hög kvalité på Projekt Ithaka samarbetar Alpkvist AB genomgående med Näringslivets Ledarskapsakademi vid start, avslutning och under alla internat samt inbjuder kända forskare och utbildare till Ithakas tre seminarier.
