So have the journos. Their life has gone from this to this. Today they no longer have a beat newsdesk with 50 or 500 editorial people today they have the world and all its socal platdorms. Of and Google of course wher e95 % of journs seatrch for source material but that is a compeltey different subject Sothe world as their source. How can that look well like this 3

All this was clear dyring this spring/summer: Arabian Spring, London riots and Horrible happening in Norway. But Egypt, Japan etc as well. Ngot som synts vldigt mycket p sistonde Utya The UK riots in the beginning of augusti 2011, quickly spread through the country to several places, allegedly through social media and group chats in Blackberry phones. 4Digital first - a growing trend

Embrace an open digital philosophy in which it embraced contributions from beyond the ranks of its own journalistsGuardian editor-in-chief, Alan Rusbridger

Newspapers reorganize Main focus on digital channelsStrongest editors on webShift in high status from print to web Print newspapers change their strategy and put digital firstEvery newspaper is on a journey into some kind of digital future. That doesn't mean getting out of print, but it does require a greater focus of attention mentions contributions outside the own staff and keeping an eye on what the future hold. change of mindset.-Control need loosen the control that we have had and accept we are now part of the news, we are not making or dictating the news the crowd is. - Faith We need to put faith in the crowd or network that surrounds our content or online persona. Our stories will only be as strong as the network that surrounds them

The Guardian editor-in-chief, Alan Rusbridger, said that the newspaper needed to embrace an "open" digital philosophy in which it embraced contributions from beyond the ranks of its own journalists, and posed the question whether the titles could spend 80% of their focus and attention on digital.
