DESCRIPTION

Not really a Christmas card and not really a full newsletter. It had only been a month since November's update but the large jumps in support warranted another update.

Dear Friends,

As 2011 wraps up and we reflect on the year, Merilee and I realize we have much to be thankful for. It was a full year which began in January with our MAF application being submitted. Phil completed the last necessary ratings in March and an MAF flight evaluation in April. Then in May we attended orientation in Guelph. July saw us selling, packing, moving and preparing for our August departure from Three Hills to arrive in London at the beginning of October. November and December were filled with visiting friends and family throughout Ontario as we continued the work of building a team of people who will partner with us through prayer and the financial support of our ministry with MAF.

We are looking forward to what God has planned for us next year. We expect to be told the country in which we’ll be working with MAF. There will need to be language training, flight standardization and final medical work – including the dreaded array of vaccinations for all of us! Beyond all that is the excitement and anticipation of a new place of ministry.

As of now we are on track to being ready to go by the middle of next summer – this depends on reaching our support targets by then. We have really been enjoying the visits that we’ve had with many of you already and want to thank those we’ve seen for blessing us with your time and hospitality.

With richest blessings,

Phil, Merilee, Kaitlyn & Lily.

Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those

with whom he is pleased!Luke 2:14
