The Presentation of Our Lord in the Temple ... and the Temple of Solomon.Solomon built the First Temple in Jerusalem, so it’s a good time to learn the 4th Joyful Mystery of the Rosary—the Presentation of Jesus in the Temple! By Jesus’ time, Solomon’s Temple had been destroyed, but when the Jews came back from exile in Babylon, they rebuilt the Temple on the same site (so it was the “Second Temple”). Not long before Jesus was born, King Herod expanded and rebuilt it, so Jesus would have gone to that Temple.
