Solving the TrailOne of the locations on the map on the back page matches the place where the

forgetful lady-in-waiting left St Edward’s Crown. To find out which one you will need

to solve the clues in the Trail. When you find the answer to each clue, identify the

corresponding location on the back page and cross it off. When you have solved all the clues one location on the map will remain – this is where the crown was left. Please see below for details of how to enter the

competition.

The Forgetful Lady-in-WaitingThe lady-in-waiting has put St Edward’s Crown, the crown used during the Coronation, in a safe place. The Queen has decided she wishes to wear this crown as part of her Jubilee celebrations. Unfortunately the lady-in-waiting has been taken ill and forgotten where she placed it. Thankfully she left a number of clues to help remind her but needs your assistance in solving them. Are you up to the challenge?

Each year Her Majestyconnects with theentire Commonwealththrough her Christmasaddress. In 2010 thiscame from a particularpalace for the firsttime - but which one?Rearrange the lettersto reveal your nextempty location.

The Queen is patron to over600 charities. These rangefrom well-known charitiessuch as the British Red Crossto new, smaller charities likeKids Company, to regimentsin the armed forces.

How tall, in inches, isthe Queen? If 1=A and9=I decode youranswer to reveal theinitials of anotherfruitless location.

Being called an awardis a bit of a misnomeras this title is conferredby the Queen, by RoyalCharter. Recipientswear the followingbadge - the youthorganisation theybelong to shares aname with anotherlocation to discount.

The then PrincessElizabeth was not inthe UK when shereceived news of herfather's death. Crossoff the location thatshares a name with thecountry from whereshe returned as Queen.

The Queen has a hugelove for animals, inparticular dogs andhorses. Her Majesty'sfirst dog was an 18thbirthday present -identify the corgi'sname and eliminate amatching location.

The Queen has alsointroduced a new breed ofdog - the 'dorgi'. The first'dorgi' was a cross betweena dachsund (belonging toPrincess Margaret) and aroyal corgi! Whether it wasplanned or not - no oneknows (or at least no one issaying!)...

Situated opposite theScottish Parliamentidentify what thepalace of the Britishmonarch in Scotland iscommonly referred as.Rearrange the lettersto reveal the firstnames of anotherlocation to discount.

The Queen's racing coloursare a purple body with goldbraid, scarlet sleeves andblack velvet cap with goldfringe. They were adoptedfrom those used by KingEdward VII; one of his mostsuccessful horses was calledDiamond Jubilee.

Her Majesty is alsoPatron of the RoyalPigeon RacingAssociation. One of theQueen's birds is namedpartly after a royalresidence - but whichone? Eliminate thematching location onceyou have solved thisclue.
