The students & sponsors listed below will be going to the Christ in Youth Conference in Carbondale, IL, leaving Monday, July 26, and returning Saturday, July 31.
Junior High Mission Trip to Shiloh Christian Ranch, Kahoka, MO
These students & sponsors will be working all week and returning on Friday, July 23. Please pray that hearts will be touched and lives changed.
The Gospel According to Greg Greg Taylor
It’s Harvest Time! That was the theme Sunday at FCC, and in reality, that should be the theme every day in the life of a Christ-follower. The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few – it’s Harvest Time! My hope and prayer is that you are prayerfully and purposefully building bridges with people in your life who
do not know the hope Jesus brings. You never know the difference an encouraging word or a simple invitation to church can make. It’s Harvest time!
This week, 38 Junior High students and adults from our church are serving at the Shiloh Children’s Ranch in Kahoka, Missouri. Shiloh is one of the 27 missions FCC supports on a monthly basis, and Ernie Harvey and team are spear-
heading this ministry effort. Please lift these students and adults up in prayer all week long, as they live out their call to be the salt of the earth and the light of the world. To learn more about the Shiloh Children Ranch, please visit www.shilohranch.org. A huge thank you goes out to Cody Monkman and his team of volunteers for
their excellent work on our third Grab N Go. Over 100 from our church assisted in
one way or another, and I want to say a special thanks to Randy and Laura Keller and Leslie Gwozdz for their daily efforts last week. It was neat to see so many step up and help! Over 150 individuals came through our church doors and each person left with several items. Thanks to the Arik Heinrich LINC group, and especially Nikki McDonald and Cindy Taylor, for serving a wonderful breakfast and
thanks to everyone involved who gave their time and talent to make this ministry event a success. Three weeks from today, Ernie and I, and many from FCC, will be leading a week of Junior (5th and 6th) main camp at nearby Little Galilee. Will you begin to
pray with me that students who have never made a decision for Christ will be open
to doing just that? Some have asked why I take time and commit to serving at Little Galilee each summer in the role of dean – after all, I’m a preacher, not a youth or children’s minister. My answer is really simple – it is always a highlight of my year, and I always look forward to seeing students make decisions for Christ. In fact, I don’t understand why more preachers don’t spend a week at camp each summer.
Have a great week and we’ll see you Sunday as we talk about Salt and Light from Matthew 5.
Blessings
Greg

You can have joy every single day by being satisfied with what you have and what you do. You don’t need to want what others have or desire to do what they are doing. You don’t need to be the boss, look like anyone else, or live like anyone else. Always remember that if you had someone else’s life you would get not only the good parts, but the bad ones too. “The gift of happiness belongs to those who unwrap it.”
We’ll enjoy the quiet mannered Joe Meeks on the 4th of August. It’s always a very gentle time he gives us. Come and enjoy. On the 18th we’ll have laughter and smiles from Steve Ingram from the Bement Opry. He keeps the crowd in laughter most of his performance. “Heaven gives us friends to bless the present scene.” Edward Young
On July 29th we’ll leave at 9:00 AM for the Myers Dinner Theater to enjoy good food and “Hello Dolly” at Hillsboro, IN. Next we will be going to the Beef House where Kathleen Miller will entertain us with her fine voice and her band that gives us tunes from Broadway. The yeast rolls and cookies will be delightful, too. Then on to Doris Yoder’s Kitchen on the 7th of September where she’s planning a true festival of foods for us. “Where there is room in the heart there is always room in the house.” Moore
Instead of trying so hard to be perfect and to please God, spend your time and effort with God expressing your love to Him. Just go through the day loving Him and letting Him love you. You’ll be surprised how much your heart improves. “Concentrate on loving people, and the other fruit will come along.”

Dear FCC congregation and Grab „N Go volunteers,
I would like to thank all of you for your
support and willingness to serve in this ministry.
Ever since last year, we have continued to add other
things to offer at the GNG and we could not do that
without your support. This ministry has grown SO
MUCH in one year! One thing that has been added is
the GNG committee. This was something that God
laid on my heart through prayer. This goes against
everything I have ever done because I have taken the
attitude that, “If I want to get something done the
right way, then I will just do it myself!” God thought
differently. The GNG committee has helped me out
so much. I want to give a special thank you to Becky
Glenn for organizing the goody bags and greeters,
Jodi Karr for organizing the registration information
and advertising (2100 flyers, 3 newspapers, and 2
radio stations), Laura Keller and Leslie Gwozdz for
being in charge of setting up all the donations, Bret
Hitchings for his resume ministry, Marcia Wise for
representing the worship band, Linda Krop for her
testimony during the volunteer worship service, Greg
Taylor for his devotion during the welcoming
session, and Cindy Taylor and Nikki McDonald for
organizing the free meal with their LINC group. If
there was one thing I saw differently, it was the love
and unity among the volunteers during the GNG. The
worship service was impactful and spirit lead, and I
got to see a visual of the overflowing support from
the community when all the volunteers prayed in a
HUGE circle around the sanctuary to bless those
coming to the GNG. Thank you so much FCC! The
Holy Spirit is alive! I want to leave you with a few
statistics: 83 ate at the free meal, 73 families and 151
people came, God‟s love reached 255, 138 volunteers
helped on July 17th, and a total of 211 volunteers
helped make the GNG a success. The best statistic of
them all is that 15 people said they are interested in
knowing more about the church and who Jesus Christ
is! Will you consider serving at the GNG next year?
God will continue doing some amazing work through
the volunteers, FCC, and the souls that were touched
and relationships that were built through the GNG.
With Much Love,
Cody Monkman
Remember: The GNG was “just a strike of a
match.” Love is an action, but it starts with a passion.
