Alumni in pursuit of knowledge

Alumni SpeakFor KSRM “School of Change Managers’ is not just a slogan but I lived it in reality. I can proudly say that KSRMhas made me a better person both personally and professionally. It has helped me to develop a positiveattitude towards my work and my future. It gives great opportunity for students to broaden their knowledgebeyond their field of studies and explore themselves. The thing I admire the most about KSRM is the supportI received from everyone that includes teaching as well as non-teaching staff. I wouldn’t have been able toachieve what I have achieved without that caring environment.

Rohit Maskara - MBA(RM)- Batch 2009-11

KSRM trains budding managers to undertake objective solution based approach to address the problems ofthe society, particularly of the lowest strata and those living at the bottom of the pyramid, a feature whichmakes the school stand out amongst conventional management schools. The faculty, curriculum and internshipopportunities of KSRM are top notch and the infrastructure of the school provides an enabling environmentto the budding development professionals to enjoy the comfort of campus life, learn and exhibit theircapabilities while remaining connected with the grassroots.

Soumyajit Auddy - MBA(RM) - Batch 2010-12

Three words describe my experience in KSRM (KIIT School of Rural Management): learning, friendship anddream. In KSRM, I not only learned principles of rural management but also have equipped to anticipate changeand adapt accordingly. I came to realize in my two years of stay that beyond classroom interaction, there is aplace for elements like hands on experience, experiential learning etc.

Amarendra Sinha - MBA(RM) Batch 2011-13

Unique and FlexibleMBA (RM) CurriculumThe MBA (RM) Programme is designed to balance academics both with classroom and experientiallearning. The two important components of the programme include Class Room Segments (CRSs)spread over 52 credits and, Field Work Segments (FWSs) of 36 credits across four semesters over twoyears. The students spend almost 10 weeks in each of the three field segments which are designedto achieve progressive learning.

The courses offered in classroom segment in combination with learning from experientialsegments allows students to carve out possible specializations into areas like agri- business, banking, micro -finance, marketing, sustainable development and others. This has been madepossible by having an appropriate mix of compulsory and optional courses in the classroomsegments. The optional courses provide the students a wider choice to specialize in their chosen areasof interest.

Discussions on International Internship

The course curriculum of MBA(RM) is broad based compared to mainstream MBA. KSRM addressesthis challenge by enrolling a panel of visiting faculty and practitioners who bring their uniqueand relevant experiences to the classroom.
