 The “King of Cocktails” comes to Barbados ONE OF THE WORLD’S PREMIER MIXOLOGISTS, Dale DeGroff, is being brought to Barbados by Angostura Limited, to conduct training sessions on July 7th and 8th, at the Savannah Hotel, for lucky bartenders across the country. Bartenders will receive hands-on training from the best in the cocktail world. They will learn new, innovative techniques and be reacquainted with some of the old established ones. They will be able to experiment and discuss with this sought after authority in the beverage industry. Dale developed his extraordinary techniques and talent tending bars at great establishments, most notably, New York’s famous Rainbow Room, where in the late 1980’s he pioneered a gourmet approach to recreating the great classic cocktails. He is universally acknowledged for his unique innovations which have globally impacted the industry. Award winning DeGroff, has been credited with reinventing the profession of bartending and setting off the cocktail explosion that continues to transform the industry. He was awarded the prestigious James Beard Wine & Spirits Professional Award in 2009 and has authored several award-winning titles including “The Craft of the Cocktail” and “The Essential Cocktail”.
