Book Summary
What's going on in the pumpkin patch? Well, a very unusual pumpkin has hatched. While
all the others are round, Spookley is square. He's not like his friends - they have curves, he has ends. And so everyone teases him,
night and day.
But just before Halloween, the weather turns stormy. Winds toss the round pumpkins
to and fro, and off they go, crashing and bashing and smashing - except Spookley. Can he, with his square little body, save the day?
Spookley was different.
He was odd,he was rare.Spookley the
pumpkin wasn't round - he was...

directions
Glue the eyes to the pumpkin face. They should go above the nose and below the eyebrows.
Students can color in Spookley’s eyes, too.
Glue the leaf so it just overlaps the top of the pumpkin. Glue the stem to the top center of the
pumpkin so it overlaps the leaf and sticks out the top.
Have students complete the writing pages of your choice.
Stack your booklet together so the pumpkin face is on top of the writing pages. Place these on top of the back cover and staple together at the top to
create a booklet.
Print all of the templates out onto the suggested
colors and cut out.
