Thanks!!! Thanks to all the families who worked in the Ran-dall County Junior Livestock Concession Stand. Also thanks to everyone who purchased food and drinks from it. We had a very successful year, and we couldn’t have done it without you!
Concession stand proceeds benefit all 4-H mem-bers and fund many project needs (contests, awards etc.) in Randall County like the Clothing & Textile & Food & Nutrition projects, registration fee reimbursement for State Roundup Contest-ants, County Gold Star Scholarships, the annual Achievement Banquet, Randall County Roundup and so much more.
4-Hers, Parents and Volunteers . . .
Thank you for yet another successful show

4-H Academic Eligibility You must be enrolled in 4-H and be making passing grades in school before you can compete in any 4-H contest. The reason we ask you to notify us so early that you want to compete in contests is because we must check with your school to see if you are passing at least two weeks in advance of the contest. Exten-sion sends a letter to your school with the contest name, date and whether competition will require you to miss any school. We can not excuse you from school unless you have enrolled in 4-H.
Don’t forget that it is still your responsibility to let your school know the exact dates you will be absent from school so they will know how to code your ab-sence. If they don’t know why you’re not at school, you may be given an unexcused absence. You should also get assignments from your teachers before leaving.
If you are not academically eligible to compete, the school will notify a county agent who will let one of your parents know that there is a problem with your grades.
