1921.

Alan moved to Salem, Ohio in 1933.

Alan died on January 20th, 1965 in Palm Springs.

from the African American community which meant reproduction.

Freed’s nickname was “Moondog.”Alan had many counts on him for unreported

Instrument and Type of MusicIn 1933 Alan played the Trombone and was a

disc jockey.

In his group there were the Moonglows, Shirley and Lee, and Screamin’ Jay Hawkins in some of the songs he was in.

Alan mostly played the rockabilly, rock and roll, and jazz.
