The Mary Ward Center in Chicago
The Mary Ward Center takes its name from the founder of the IBVM. Born in 1585, Mary Ward experienced many trials and tribulations, including religious persecution, but courageously worked to provide support and education to others, especially young women. Her dedication to following God's will for her life and serving those around her led her to found the community known as the Institute of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
