What Is Our Salvation For?
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life!”
Many years ago I realized and accepted that Jesus the Son of God died for me and my sins and that as I believed in Him I would not perish but have eternal life! WOW! What joy came into my heart as I surrendered to the Lord my worries and concerns as a young man looking for meaning and purpose to life. Since my salvation experience in 1966, I have sought to keep serving and growing in my walk with God.
G Go to God Daily in Prayer Philippians 4:6-7 R Read the Bible every day 2 Timothy 3:14-17 O Obey God-moment by moment Luke 6:46-48 W Worship in a local Church Hebrews 10:24-25 T Tell others about Jesus 1 Peter 3:15-16 H Holy Spirit to direct your life John 14:26
Today my desire after 50 years still remains to continue to serve and grow in my relationship with God and to witness to others of His awesome Love to ALL! At the end of life may God say to me and to each of us as His children, “Well done good and faithful servant!”
Keep Serving and Sharing and you will Be Blessed and Be a Blessing!

From the Pastor Search Committee
Thanks to all for your prayers and support of the Pastor Search Committee. We are now receiving resumes from the NC Baptist State Convention, SC Baptist State Convention, Campbell University Divinity School, Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and Garner Webb Divinity School as well as individual resumes. A majority of these resumes are received via electronic email to our committee website. Thanks to Ashley Britt for setting up the website.
Vice Chairman, Kent Harrell, continues to present monthly committee progress updates to the congregation and emphasizes that at this crucial point in the search process the committee needs special prayers of spiritual discernment. Your prayers have been such a great blessing and encouragement to each of us.
We will continue to be transparent in our progress and will keep you updated.
God Bless You, Billy Fowler, Chairman

It’s hard to believe that May is already here. The Student Ministry Department is busy
planning this summer’s activities, so keep watching for them in the future. This
summer’s camp is shaping up to be another great year of fun and ministry. We are
sending a total of 25, students and chaperones, on these trips. Please pray that God will
impact all of us for His glory. We want to bring back what we have learned and
experienced in order to use it here at WBC. Keep using the Student Ministry Prayer Cards to remind you of the student that you
have committed to pray for. Time in prayer is never wasted.

“To God be the Glory, For the things HE has done!!” To each one of you who served during the Living Cross Ministry:
DR MOORE; THOSE WHO BUILT THE CROSS & SETS AS WELL AS ALL WHO ASSISTED IN PUTTING IT UP & TAKING IT DOWN; CHOIR; INSTRUMENTALISTS; LEE MONICAL, DRAMA LEADERS & TEAM; STORYTELLERS & NARRATORS; COSTUME, LIGHTING, MAKE-UP, PROPS, SOUND, CHILD CARE, MEAL PREP, PARKING & SECURITY, COUNSELORS & FOLLOW UP TEAMS; GREETERS, USHERS, OFFICE STAFF & THOSE WHO ASSISTED WITH PUBLICITY; AND ESPECIALLY ALL OF YOU WHO PRAYED FOR THE LIVING CROSS MINISTRY.
The names you see printed in the Bulletin and people who are actually seen, can’t possibly cover all who help. This is truly a CHURCH WIDE Ministry! Most importantly, we know of 2 who indicated they made a first time commitment to the Lord during the Living Cross, along with other recommitments or those asking for more information about the Christian life or our church! We may never know the hearts that were touched or changed by the gospel message but the important thing is that God was glorified!
I Love You All! Peggy

A big thanks goes out to all that helped with the children’s Easter Egg Hunt that we had during our Sunday School hour. The children searched for Resurrection Eggs and we also discussed the meaning.
Also...the Children’s Ministry is going to be holding a raffle during our Memorial Day Celebration on May 27th. All monies raised will help send children to summer camp at Camp Caraway. The cost is $295 per child. There is a list of basket theme ideas below. All baskets need to be turned in by Sunday, May 21st. There will be a table set up on the Pre-School Hall (by the nursery) for you to drop these items off at.
Thank you again for your continued support of the Children’s Ministry. It truly is a blessing to work along side such a wonderful and loving church family.
Much Love,
Leslie

2017-2018 Building Fund Pledge Update
In 2006, Wrightsboro Baptist Church had a vision to build a Family Life Center. Along with this vision; WBC started the Building Through Faith Capital Campaign. We were encouraged to join hands and hearts together and rise to this challenge to provide the funds for this project.
We currently owe $920,335 on the Family Life Center. The monthly payment is $10,980 with an annual payment of $131,760. This past month we were encouraged to pray and again pledge to support the upcoming year. The 2017-2018 Pledge Cards were available in the Sunday Bulletins in March. The church has received Pledge Cards from 55 families for a total of $60,936 for next year. If you haven't already turned in your Pledge Card, it’s not too late! Our giving began April 2, 2017.
THANK YOU, as you willingly, cheerfully and sacrificially continue to support the Building Fund. The investments we make in the Kingdom will carry eternal dividend, as we can expect God to bless abundantly. Remember; He has promised in 2 Corinthians 9:6-7 that “Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”
