Dear Fairwood UMC Family,
How excited I am to be writing this letter to all of you! I feel blessed that God has called me to serve alongside so many wonderful people! Truly words cannot express the way you all made my son, Ty and I feel as we visited and have now moved to Tyler, we immediately felt welcomed and eager to be a part of the ministry of Fairwood UMC.
Change is difficult, it means change for each of you, it means change for me and it means change for Ty. Psalm 98 declares, “Sing to the LORD a new song, for he has done marvelous things.” The word new is used a hundred and fifty times in the bible and many of those times that new is used, it’s talking about moving in a new direction. Moving to a new place, allowing God to work to new things in our lives. New in the bible talks about, new beginning’s, it talks about moving on from the old and changing into the new. Singing, like a new verse in the bible, a new song. In a real sense that is what we are doing, we are going to create a new song. Together we will continue the ministry of the church, we will build new relationships, and we will reach into the community around us. The pastor’s change, and congregations change but the story of God’s love and grace never change! Ty and I look forward to our time at Fairwood as we sing a new song together!
Blessings,
Brandy Stevens

The Place to Be!
God’s Grace smiled upon a place a long time ago. Open arms and willing hearts gathered together to worship and love our wondrous Lord. God’s beauty can be seen in the faces all around. Smiling, laughing, hug-ging, sharing, comfort-ing and praying with friends and family. The Joy of the Lord can be felt through our singing and our praise in the wonderful place to be, Fairwood UMC.
