•A former lawyer and managing partner of a 35-attorney firm, Edward E. Reicin currently serves as a consultant for MPC Containment International.
•In his spare time, Edward E. Reicin has been professionally performing in operas since 1992.
•Ed Reicin avidly supports opera and serves as the development chairman of the Metropolitan Opera National Council's Central Region.
•Conceived in 1952, the Metropolitan Opera National Council was created to increase interest and support for the Metropolitan Opera (Met).
•Membership in the Metropolitan Opera National Council provides many benefits, including priority ticketing, and a 10 percent discount in the Metropolitan Opera Shop.
•The contributions of membership also provide direct support for the Met and the National Council Auditions program.
•Each year, the Metropolitan Opera National Council holds auditions to identify exceptional young opera singers.
•The program is designed to recognize promising talent and assist in the development of their careers.
•Of the many that audition, only five or six earn the title of grand winner and receive $15,000. In 2013, six awards were given.
