Google MagicAdding a tilde (~) to a search term will return related terms. For example, Googling ~nutrition returns results with the words nutrition, food, and health in them.

What time is it in Bangkok right now? Ask Google. Simply enter what time is it with the locale at the end of your query, like what time is it Hong Kong to get the local time there.

Myth Busters: Rigor in the ClassroomMyth #1: Lots of Homework Is a Sign of RigorMyth #2: Rigor Means Doing MoreMyth #3: Rigor is Not for EveryoneMyth #4: Providing Support Means Lessening Rigor

Learn why these myths have been BUSTED!

Are you wondering about rigor? What is the difference between rigorous standards, rigorous questioning, and instructional rigor? Rigorous standards are important, but the Common Core State Standards do not address how to implement rigorous instruction. Rigorous questioning is critical, but it is not enough. For example, a teacher might ask rigorous questions, but accept lower level answers. In that case, the instruction is not rigorous.

-Barbara R. Blackburn

Supporting RigorI think teachers at my school should explain better especially in math, math is a struggle for me because my math teacher is not writing on the board or explaining it well... so I think she should write on the board and explain it better. It would make a big difference in my future.

Thanks for ListeningI think that we should have a little time in the day for some time to relax do homework and talk if we cannot have recess. And I think that we should have student body team presidents that way the person that is president can make decisions for the betterment of our school. We should also have sports, more assembled activities and more clubs. Sorry I wrote such a long comment but I really had some suggestions that would and could really help our school out if and only if you would take some of my ideas. Thank you for your time and the opportunity to tell you these things, I really hope you consider them.
