We have been working in partnership with UK’s most successful organisations for two decades, helping them to design, develop and deliver fit-out and refurbishment projects, creating spaces that empower its users and help support and grow businesses. After outgrowing their current space, Optimum Credit approached Imium to Design, Develop, and Deliver a new workplace for them that would accommodate their current staff numbers and also allow them to grow in line with their ambitions. Imium engaged with Optimum Credit to establish a brief and began to plan an office that would cater for their current and future needs. It was essential that the new office allowed for staff expansion and catered for the varying needs of the workforce going forward, giving them opportunities to work both collaboratively and as individuals. The finishes are a timeless palette of greys, blacks and pastel tones in various textures ranging from sleek marble to luxurious high pile carpets. Each department is linked via a pathway that offers opportunities for break out and collaboration along the way. There is a range of agile zones dispersed throughout each floor with powered tables and localised lighting that provide areas for people to drop in and work. Individual study-booths in the larger break out spaces provide areas for quiet study and assist their support of workplace learning, while larger meeting booths alleviate the issue of more formal meeting spaces being used for informal chats. The various offices can accommodate smaller meetings, meaning that the meeting suite near to reception can be reserved for clients and visitors. In addition to the more functional parts of the office, the break out spaces have been designed to suit large company gatherings and agile working. Large kitchens on both floors comfortably accommodate the needs of the workforce during breaks and provide an area for social events. The end result has given Optimum Credit a workspace that meets the original brief of accommodating the numbers that they need and that supports a collaborative workforce.
