3 Way Interviews : 27 th June 2018 For the term 2 parent/teacher interviews, we are including the students in the process. Interviews will therefore have a 3 way approach – student, teacher and parent – to give a rounded picture of where the child is at in their learning. Children will be sharing their learning in the interview. The booking process will be online as in the past however, the one difference is that all interviews will occur on the same date : 27th June from 2pm -6.45pm. The booking will open on 18th June 2018 Late Arrivers Thank you to those parents who are accompanying their children to the school office when they are late in the morning. It is important that the children are safe in the morning and a safety and a duty of care requirement is that you sign them in if they are late. Children who continually arrive late will be referred to the Home school Liaison Officer, Mrs K Bates. GALA Day Please note that for the next GALA Day, the $6 bus fare must be paid by THURSDAY 14 th JUNE. Children who bring the money in on the actual Gala day will not be allowed to go. It is very distressing for children to be told they can’t go so we ask that as parents you support us in this by paying on time. P&C Please come along and support the P&C by attending the meeting next Tuesday 12 June at 9.15am. This meeting is held in the school staff room and everyone is welcome. It is a great opportunity to meet other parents and also have a say in various school events. Quote of the week : Never buy a car you can’t push!! Mrs K Masciocchi (Principal) Term 2 Week 6 Dear parents & caregivers After the busyness of the last few weeks (Dance2Bfit, NAPLAN, Swimming Scheme, GALA Day) it is nice for teachers to resume normal teaching times and for the children to become settled again. The rain is very welcome as it means our “dust bowls” will green up again and the children will have nice playing areas again. CAR PARK WOES Parents and visitors are not to walk through the staff car park or enter and park in it at any time. IT IS NOT SAFE FOR YOU OR YOUR CHILDREN TO DO SO. I can’t seem to get through to some parents who think they can drive in and park and either drop off or pick up their children not realising that it is a busy area of the school with many cars and trucks entering at various times during the day. Also parents who walk in the car park gate and call their children out that way are putting their child in danger. PLEASE DO NOT DO IT. Any parent entering the school grounds after the bell in the morning and before the afternoon bell, must report to the school office and get a visitors badge. This includes going to the canteen during the day and ordering your child’s lunch. This is our duty of care to ensure your children are safe at all times and we know who is on the school premises. STAGE 3 CAMP The cut off date for the Stage 3 Camp has passed and final numbers have been tallied. Due to a drop in numbers going to camp, we will be taking only one bus and have cancelled the second one. We have only 4 vacancies and if you have not paid and would like your child to go to camp, please send in $50 deposit and the note tomorrow. First in with money and note may be allocated a seat. All notes can be found on our school’s website under “Notes to Parents” www.escholpark-p.schools.nsw.edu.au

Term 2 Week 6

Dear parents & caregivers

After the busyness of the last few weeks (Dance2Bfit, NAPLAN, Swimming Scheme, GALA Day) it is nice for teachers to resume normal teaching times and for the children to become settled again.
