ST. REGIS STEWARDSHIP CORNER Today we celebrate the feast of the Most Holy Trinity. The Catechism of the Catholic Church tells us that the Holy Trinity is the “central mystery of the Christian faith” (261). The concept of the Triune God — Three Persons in one God — is truly a mystery, almost too lofty for us ordinary people to even begin to grasp. Can the truth of the Holy Trinity teach us anything as everyday Christian stewards? Actually, yes! St. John Paul II described the Holy Trinity is a “Divine Family,” a community of Persons Who give themselves completely to each other and Who wishes to share Itself, Its life, with us. These concepts are at the very heart of the stewardship way of life. As stewards, we too, are called to share ourselves and our lives with others

FATHER’S DAY Father’s Day is Sunday, June, 21st. We will honor and remember all of our fathers at the Masses the weekend of June 20 and 21. Please be sure to include your living and deceased father in our special Father’s Day display by printing their name on the Father’s Day envelope in your June packet. You can make a contribution in their name and place your envelope in the regular collection at Mass-es or bring it to the Parish Office. We ask that all enve-lopes are returned no later than Thursday, June 18. Let us keep our fathers in prayer.

Our 8th Graders will graduate on Thursday, June 11th. We congratulate the Class of 2020! Goal $100,00

UPDATE ON THE PARKING LOT/PLAY GROUND CAMPAIGN We are seven months into our campaign, and we have raised $74,000 so far. WOW! Thanks to your generosity we are ¾ of the way to the goal of $100,000 for the parking lot phase. Ideally if

we can reach the phase one goal in the next 2 months, we could go ahead with the renovation in late summer. With 141 spaces in the parking lot, that is about $730 a space. If you would like to help us meet the goal, by August 1st, consider donating. You can use the yellow envelope that is in your monthly envelope package. The second phase includes updating the playground. We are anticipat-ing phase two to be about $50,000. Please contribute gen-erously!

$74,000

We would like to honor the memory of the mothers of our parishioners who turned in their Mother’s Day envelope:

SPIRITUAL ADOPTION Month 9: Congratulation, I am here! As you know though, my birth was not the beginning of my life. My life began nine months ago when my parents contributed their love to each other to form this unique human being. At that miraculous moment I also received my soul from God making me an immortal being. God’s plan for me is to live my life on earth then join Him in my heavenly home for-ever. Thank you on behalf of all babies and their mothers for your loving prayers that helped to bring us to birth “so that they might have life and have it to the full!” John 10:10

RACHEL’S VINYARD - KANSAS CITY There are many post-abortive women and men in our churches today who live in silent torment. They are slow-ly self-destructing. They believe that if their friends knew what they had done they would be rejected and con-demned. Yet, Jesus’ heart is moved and He has pity upon them as they suffer in pain and grief. If you or someone you know is suffering from an abortion decision, dis-cover Jesus’ merciful heart which brings peace and com-fort. Rachel’s Vineyard retreats are all about healing the pain of abortion one weekend at a time. The second of three 2020 Kansas City retreats will be hosted on July 24-26. Please call (816) 679-4973 or email [email protected] for confidential information and to start the healing.

Join us on the next Worldwide Marriage Encounter Weekend, July 31st - August 2nd, at the Savior Pastoral Center in Kansas City, Kansas. The weekend is a perfect way to renew your love and commitment to each other and to learn the tools that will carry you forward to live more intimately and responsibly together, no matter the cir-cumstances of the life.
