With isolation comes a time to do
the things you’ve never had time to
do. Like buy a front wheel
paddock stand for easier front tyre
and rim maintenance.
It’s great that you can still buy
online and help keep businesses
going.
Yes, the club has closed its doors
but it’s for the health of all riders.
Don’t’ forget to keep in touch with
friends and family with Face time,
Phone calls and even the postman
still delivering letters
Stay safe everyone
Looking forward to catching up for
a Ride

Marks Ute
Mark's Ute has got the Jack.
Plus, a 30 mm lift with new springs.
New shock absorbers.
Bigger brakes of a VS SSV.
Mark's ute has been a backup vehicle on numerous WAR rides and hauling club equipment
to event at Mudgeeraba, Canungra and Parklands at Broadbeach.
On one WAR ride a Club Member had a flat rear tyre that couldn't be plugged and on the
back of the SS it went.
Also, Mark kept the bike over Sunday night and dropped it of at a tyre repair shop at Miami
so it could be ridden again.
It is good for the club to have a backup vehicle for reassurance and the club also owns a
trailer if anyone wants to fill this role if your cage has a tow bar and wants to sit in a cage
without a motor between your legs 😎

Wayne’s Column
Hi Members
At the beginning of this year, I said 2020 is
going to be a good year. I should have said
an eventful year. WOW! I’ve never
known anything like this in my lifetime.
Everything as you know has been
cancelled, so it’s a good time to do those
jobs on our bike/bikes, around the house
jobs etc.
We can go our riding in twos, a bit like the
animals going onto Noah’s Ark. Ha Ha.
Why didn’t Noah swat those two
mosquitoes?
Anyway, when things go
back to normal as I’m
think they will, it will be
a new normal. I’m sure
we’ll rethink our
priorities; I know I have.
It’s a shame the WAR
ride had to be cancelled.
AGAIN.
You’ll be pleased to
know Bruce Martin one
of our newest members
has recovered from a
heart bypass and is
slowly getting on a bike
again. Jodie Harrison is
riding again after a
horrific accident, but
Carol Russell’s recovery
is slow. I’m sure our
thoughts are with them.
I just love Gail’s Link this month. I’m
tempted to do some colouring in. Thanks,
Gail for the great job you do.
Well, there’s no events to report on so I’ll
leave off here.
Let’s all be very careful, and we’ll get
through this Corona Virus thing.
Regards
Wayne
Committee.

Just because I can
Plenty of company when spending time with my 2014 Daytona 675R
Hi Members
I’ve recently bought a Quadlock mobile phone handlebar mounts for the Suzuki and
one of the Commandos. My iPhone fits into a Quadlock case which locks very
securely onto the handlebar mount. I also have a windscreen mount on my car.
I was very impressed with the MXStore in Burleigh Heads where I bought it.
They actually emailed me when the product came in, so I went down to buy it to find
they were out of stock. They apologised for their error and to their credit, sent the gear
free express post to me with a digital tyre gauge and a pair of bike socks to compensate
for my inconvenience. I have their catalogue which I’ll leave at the club, they really
have an extensive range of everything bike related especially dirt bike gear.
Wayne, Committee.

With sad news the clubhouse needed to close the doors. But not forever.
We will send out an email and post on our Facebook site any updates.
Because our ride is our therapy
For your entertainment MotoGP has released free viewing of their archived races available
on their website and YouTube channel.
Colouring in has been posted by some Riders as it does reduce stress and boost creativity. I
have included them through this issue. Feel free to print and think of getting that knee down.
