About the Auburn Community Players“Auburn Community Players is a theater troupe that collaborates with high quality performers and artists to produce contemporary and classical theater works. It is the mission of Auburn Community Players to educate, entertain and enrich lives.”

Welcome to the Auburn Community Player’s production of Seussical the Musical. This is our 8th production to this date. We are very excited to bring the fun filled show to you, and we hope you enjoy.

We are very proud to continue to bring great musicals to the Auburn community. We are very excited you are here with us and we hope you continue to come back for each show we do.

The Auburn Community Players are produced and presented by the City of Auburn. We also continue to partner with Auburn area businesses to make this a true community theater experience.

The actors are residents from the Auburn area and surrounding areas as well; there are all levels of experience, ranging from highly seasoned performers to people that are new to the stage. Here at Auburn Community Players, we truly believe there is a place for everyone. So, come and join us in one of our upcoming productions.

A Note From The DirectorDr.Seusshaswrittencountlessbooksenjoyedbyallages.Childrenandadultssharethesetaleswhenteachersreadtotheirstudents,parentsreadtotheirkids,orsomeonewantsafunrhymingstory.Seussicaltakesaboutthirtyofthesebooksandcombinesthemintoastoryofacceptance,friendship,determination,andusingyourimagination.

Themainstorylinefollows“HortonHearsaWho”and“HortonHatchestheEgg”.Hortonisaloyalfriendandalwaystriestokeephispromises.Hefacesmanychallengesbutnevergivesup.Thisisanimportantphilosophyinlife.Timesgetroughforeveryone,butitcanalwaysturnaround.

Seussicalisoneofmyfavoriteshows.Justlikethebooks,itcanbeenjoyedbyallages.Thecharactersfromthestoriescometolifeonstagewithfunsongs.Itisanescapefromreallifetoenteraworldofimaginationandmakebelieve.SometimeswejustneedtoforgetaboutlifeforacoupleofhoursandbeentertainedbytheCatintheHatandhisfriends.Hopefullyourshowwillputasmileonyourfacefordays.
