If the world is in darkness, God can not be blamed for this. This is the argument of Paul to the Romans. God always revealed to men throughout history. Here it is evident that the Lord has made known through the created things (Romans 1:20).

Verses 22 to 32 of the first chapter of Romans shows the consequences of sin in the lives of men. They had the opportunity to glorify God, but they did not (Romans 1:21), and now reap the fruits of this evil stubbornness. The phrase "God gave them" no sense of causality,

which shows that God is not responsible for this human obstinacy. He only allowed men as a result of their own actions and choices, they may walk in their own ways. However, they need to know they will be held accountable for it. P

And indeed they were. Paul points out that this approach failed blinded men, and put them in the folly of idolatry, who exchanged the Creator for the creature (Rom 1:23). Then he took them to the deviation of sexuality (Rom 1.26,27) and finally caused them to adopt a range of moral and social vices (Rom 1.28-32).

1. The Jews toward Gentiles

Paul took advantage of diatribe method in the letter to the Romans, as this feature enabled him dialoguing with readers. It is to imagine that a Jew when read what Paul said earlier about the gentile world, stay elated by the harsh tone adopted in the speech of Paul.

1. The Jews toward Gentiles

The Gentiles, in fact, were in a deplorable situation before God. However, the moralists Jews were not better off (2.1- 16). They also were equally condemnable before God (Rom 2.1- 3). They condemned the Gentiles, but practiced similar sins. So they were deprived of God's grace in the same way.

2. The Jews in the law.

Another aspect of the apostle's argument regarding the Jews is in verses 17-29 of Chapter 2 of Romans. Paul knew that every Jew was proud of the Law that they had been granted in Sinai (Rom 2.17,18). Unlike the Gentiles who only had natural revelation, they had also been given the Law. However, there was an incongruity between knowing the law and practice it.

2. The Jews in the law.

Only the knowledge of the letter of the law, without proper internalization of its rules and precepts, led Judaism to a sterile and self-righteous moralism. In this respect, of no use to know the law and do not live it (Rom 2.28,29). The Jew had become as guilty as the Gentile. Unfortunately, it is still exactly how many Christians act.

3. The Jews in relation to the alliance.

The question that every Jew would Paul did for soon after giving the answer:? "What, then, the Jew's advantage or what the profit of circumcision Much in every way, because, first, the words of God were you entrusted "(Rom 3.1,2). The Jews, though the chosen people of God, also need salvation.

SUBSIDY BIBLICAL"We know that the judgment of God is according to truth" (Rom 2.2). We can understand that statement? The judgment of God is established here because of the sins of paganism and flawed morality of the Jews to condemn the Gentiles. The issue of conviction of sin is one for everyone. Once you have sin, anyone incurs the condemnation of God. Paul declares that the Gentiles have sinned (1.18-32) and the Jews also have sinned (2.17-3.8). Therefore, since both Jews and Gentiles have sinned, all lack the righteousness of God (3.9-20).

This expression 'in truth' means that God's judgment would be as the fault of each, based on the sins committed by each one. The Jewish wrongly interpreted mercy, as imagined as an act of divine tolerance of sin. [...] God showed the Jews his "kindness, tolerance and patience ', so that they leave the sin and repent.

This same grammatical construction occurs in Matthew 8.9. In this passage we find the centurion saying I hupo emautón soldiers (under me), which in Portuguese is the meaning of my orders. All, Jews and Gentiles, have sinned and need the salvation that can only be found in Jesus Christ.

Now he proves this observation citing several Psalms.
