Nevada’s Autumn 2020 Blueprint introduces some new equipment to our range, shows how safety should be taken into account while planning your effluent system, and we’ve got some new success stories to share.

Nathan Dobbs TE AROHA, WAIKATO
Nathan Dobbs runs a 100Ha dairy farm, with 300 cows in Te Aroha.
The farm’s previous system was inadequate for what they needed, it wasn’t getting the job done, and the farm was at risk of breaching their resource consent if they continued as they were. So when a Nevada flyer arrived in the mail, Nathan decided to make an enquiry.
A Nevada slurry tanker sounded like exactly what the farm needed, and Nevada were able to put together a good deal, so Nathan was more than happy to press the go button.
“The big thing is we can spread effluent over the whole farm and that is priceless.”
Since getting the 8,000L Nevada slurry tanker, Nathan is no longer worried about breaching their resource consent. The new tanker allows them to spread where and when they want, and it’s fast and easy.

New to Nevada - Tramspread reelers have been developed and perfected after many years of contracting to provide the optimum solution combining heavy duty strength and ease of use.
Both random wrap and segmented mounted umbilical hose reelers are available, and all are fitted with a heavy duty, 3 point linkage and a female Quick fit ‘A’ frame. When the male ‘A’ frame is located it is secured by two loose fitting pins.

New to Nevada - seize the opportunity to apply slurry to pasture with Tramspread Dribble Bars!
Why would you want one? Well there are a lot of benefits to this umbilical pumping system, including the high efficiency work rate, minimal soil compaction, and no damage to field gaps or muddy roads.
As far as application goes, there are some real benefits to both farmers and contractors. Dribble bars are fast, produce significant grass yield, and you’ll have less demand for artificial fertilisers. In fact, some farms have been able to reduce fertiliser costs by up to 70-80% using this system! By applying the slurry closer to the ground, there is
less slurry exposed to the air, therefore reducing the amount of nutrients lost to the atmosphere. This means:
• More nutrients getting into the ground• Less nitrogen (N) being released into the atmosphere• Even less money needing to be spent on artificial

The unique Nevada RainWave™ Drag Hose System is designed for damp soils. Using a high capacity pump, effluent is pumped through a layflat hose to a low pressure RainWave™ spreader.
The RainWave™ spreader is attached to your tractor’s 3 point linkage, dragging the hose behind it. The selection of layflat hose for these systems is critical. Not only must the hose be abrasion resistant, it also needs a high tensile pulling strength and high working pressure.

Mark’s a Busy Bloke – No Time To Chat!
Mark Walker KAITAIA, NORTHLAND
Like all farmers, Mark Walker is very busy with no time to waste.He’s up at the crack of dawn, with his sidekick Paul, to start work on his 220ha dairy farm in Kaitaia, with 475 cows to feed and milk.
After adding a large feedpad, and new effluent pond to the farm, they needed a faster method of spreading effluent. Mark had previously seen Nevada’s Drag Hose RainwaveTM System at the Northland Field Days, and thought it would be a good fit for his farm. So he gave Nevada a call.
“It looked like a system that’d be easy to implement on the farm, and would let us
spread over a wide range in a short amount of time – which is exactly what we need.”
The weather conditions in Kaitaia are not always great for spreading, and
with a lot on their plates, Mark and Paul really needed something that would make the best use of short windows of time. The drag hose system with Rainwave spreader sounded ideal, so they went ahead
and haven’t looked back!
