· Only one profile type for drawers and saucepan pullouts, either with railing or DesignSide

· Using DesignSide leaves the back panel, bottom and runners of pot-and-pan drawers exactly as they are

· The DesignSide is simply added at the end of drawer production or installed by the fitter instead of the railing

Drawer front adjustment – as easy as ever

Quality is instantly recognisable: perfectly ali-gned drawer fronts are a key feature of kitchens fitted with InnoTech. And DesignSide makes no exception when it comes to the particular ease of drawer front adjustment. The easy-to-use tilt adjuster is integrated in the DesignSide adap-ters – discreetly out of view and conveniently accessible.

Easy and precise: Adjustment of pot-and-pan drawer tilt With DesignSides, drawer-front tilt is easy to adjust by means of an eccentric screw in the front DesignSide adapter. A cover cap completes the look of perfection.

Fast and accurate: easy-to-adjust drawer front

The drawer front can be adjusted by ± 2 mm with effortless ease using an ergonomically shaped fin-ger wheel: easily, accurately and without the need for tools. Lateral adjustment through ± 1.5 mm is equally as uncomplicated and only needs to be done at one side.

Hettich takes a responsibility for the world we live in. This awareness defines the strict policy of environmental manage-ment we practise. Our environmental officer has taken personal responsibility for these aspects throughout the company group over a period of many years. In addition, a separate environment committee has been established for each production site. We regard statutory provisions as minimum requirements. At signi-ficant sites we also implement the stringent EMAS Directive. And we drive forward developments that in future will help to save even more raw materials and support the necessary endeavours towards sustainability.

Hettich environmental management

Hettich started introducing effective environmental management systems under the stringent EMAS Regulation (currently: EC Re-gulation No. 761/2001, including EN ISO 14.001/2004) as long ago as 1996. This not only enables us to improve our environmental performance on a broad front but also achieve a high level of safety which, not least, also benefits our customers. This is why we also require our suppliers to meet the necessary minimum standards of environmental protection, industrial safety, health care and social welfare. The results achieved in the drawer-runner and drawer-system product segment at the Kirchlengern operation illustrate the impressive effects these measures have and verifiably demon-strate our tireless endeavours to translate words into action:

The Hettich Forum building with its neutral energy balance is a shining example of future-proof building design. Photovoltaic panels and solar collection system providing hot water as well as extensive roof greening and use of rain water underscore this building's overall sustainability concept in just the same way as the broad use of cellulose insulation material from recycled newspapers, highly efficient heat recovery and the bulb-free lighting concept do.

With the Hettich Group having acquired European Commission GreenBuilding Partner status on 5 March 2009, the compre-hensive approach demonstrated by the Hettich Forum has also convinced the adjudicating panel of the national "Green Building Award 2009". Hettich received the first prize to be presented in the "New Building" category.

Application

Hettich runner systems are suitable for use in living-room, kitchen and office furniture both in the home and business environment.

Load Capacity and Over-Extension Guard

The load capacity (to DIN EN 15338) stated is under-stood to mean the weight of the drawer itself inclu-ding contents in kg. All Hettich runner systems feature guards to prevent the drawer from rolling out and being removed unin-tentionally and meet the requirements of the impact test in a test frame to DIN EN 15338. Fitted in the proper manner, the runner systems are suitable for furniture defined in DIN 14749. The maximum front-panel height is governed in particular by material, drawer size and drawer runner. We will be pleased to provide any further information you may require.

Corrosion Test

Hettich runner systems satisfy the requirements on corrosion defined in DIN EN 15338, 72-hour conden-sation-water test to DIN EN 6270.

General Technical Conditions

The fitting instructions, screw-fixing points and loading information specified in this catalogue assume proper attachment using Hettich direct fixing screws or Hettich flat-head chipboard screws of the stated size in a cabinet material providing a screw pull-out resis-tance of > 1,000 N in accordance with DIN EN 320. Hettich accepts no responsibility for the use of materi-als or methods of attachment other than those stated. If other materials or methods of attachment are used, the furniture manufacturer is required to verify the system's load-bearing capacity.
