With over 20 years of international experience, WOW Architects and Warner Wong Design have become renowned in the regional design community for achieving high standards in design and professionalism combined with strength in cross border services. All their projects are process driven, stylistically inclusive and diverse. They aim for experiential richness and imbued meaning from the crafting of the built and natural environments.
The Flower of Life The concept of Microcosm to Macrocosm
Physically, our world and universe is made up of molecular and chemical arrangements and carbon based atoms vibrating away and being held together including the DNA present in all life.
Everywhere we look, there are patterns and cycles which persist without needing to be maintained: in weather, in every ecosystem including lakes and forests, in the chain of life. Buried deeper beneath the more evident patterns that have been observed for thousands of years, there are more patterns at work which have been found in various aspects of life across the world.
One such profound pattern is “the Flower of life”; the consistency of this pattern’s appearance in all religions in conjunction with all of nature surely holds some strong relevancy that this connection is the foundation for the inter-connectivity we experience in our lives.
So too, the overall design of KMV Vivaan is envisaged to connect the micro cosmos to macrocosmos.
The central green spine at the villas development is characteristic of the pastoral scene with its intimate “backyard” gardens that encourages community interaction and connection with the microcosm of Nature.
Rising above the villas, the highrise building houses the sky club at the roof which boosts communal facilities that serves to strengthen community ties whilst providing the connection to the macro cosmos by framing the distant views of the urban city and the perpetual skies and universe beyond.
The Jaali PatternThe Jaali pattern used in the Villas at KMV Vivaan closely relates to “the Flower of life” which is a symbol from sacred geometry. This pattern of hexagonal overlapping circles draw highest positive energy from the cosmos. It was widely used in ancient architecture of most religions all over the world including the Hindu and Buddhist temples.
Understanding the Flower of Life certainly helps us to understand how the Universe works. It can be used as a tool for connecting during meditation, and also as a powerful symbol to refer to in your everyday life; hence we have included this pattern in the design of KMV Vivaan retaining the essence of the form to suit the international design concept of the Villas which is also a visual element.
The openable Jaalis a functional element manages to cut down on direct sun and thereby the heat ingress. It also allows movement of air for cross breeze and ventilation and provides privacy without blocking view to the inmates, desirable in the local context.
Overall, the pattern is a functional feature, visually stimulating and a wonderful reminder that we are all connected, to each other and every single thing in the Universe.

At KMV Vivaan, we perceive Vastu as an ancient science that creates harmony in living spaces. By applying ancient Vastu principles into contemporary architecture in the construction of both property and building spaces, we could achieve positive energies.
