How often have you gone through troubles? As troubles are almost inevitable, they form an integral part of our lives. They often come to us in different proportions. While some people face troubles boldly, some fall a prey to them. Anxiety, stress, depression – are just a few implications of trouble. The awareness of this ever-present monster, along with the realization of our helplessness, can help us focus on the ever-present help – the God of Jacob.
God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. (Psalm 46:1,7)
The word of God gives us innumerable instances of this ever-present help, and yet we fail to realize them. Scientific reasoning has almost blinded the present and future generations with a virtual reality. Peo-ple are often attracted towards a wide variety of floating solutions that offer interim help. Though the ultimate solution is available for free in the Bible, people don’t want to take the risk of exercising their faith. Everyone wants to swim with the current, pursuing the false solutions the world has to offer. Let’s be reminded of the unique promise: “I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Nowhere else in the history of mankind can we find a promise like this. We can always lookup to this loving Lord. The question is – Do we believe this promise?
As Christians who have tasted and seen that the Lord is good, we are bound by the requirement of telling others about the ever-present help. Troubles may still be there, or even weigh us down. But the mighty presence of our Lord shall be our comfort in every trouble. May the Lord Almighty help us all to say with courage – The God of Jacob is our refuge and strength.

Achen’s Message
Greetings in the name of our Lord!
By God’s grace, we are moving to the Pentecostal season of the year in the Church calendar. This is a very important segment of the season which the church looks forward to continue its faith journey with the power of the Holy Spirit. In the Pentecostal and post – Pentecostal season, we will be pondering on vari-ous themes related to our life – familial, ecclesial and social.
The experience of Pentecost is very important in our life journey. It is not only about remembering the early Pentecost, but a time to seek how far we have grown in the power of the Holy Spirit. The first and early century Pentecostal experience was a clear manifestation of the pouring of Holy Spirit upon the dis-ciples. Signs and symbols were granted unto the early church to grasp the presence and power of the triune God through the Holy Spirit. It is vital that we receive the power of the Holy Spirit in our life and grow in that power daily. To combat the powers of the world, enticement of the flesh and the reign of sa-tan, we need to grow strong in the power of the Holy Spirit daily. It is only, and only in the power of Holy Spirit that we can confess Jesus Christ as Lord (I Corinthians 12:3). Let us receive the gifts of the Spirit as God wants us to, and let us produce the fruit of the Spirit in our lives. We are called to seek, learn, obey and grow unto the Christ-head in the power of Holy Spirit. Let this season of the ecclesial year bring us renewal and refreshing.
As we are drawing close to the 31st Annual CSI Family and Youth Conference, we are all gearing up to receive our fellow brothers and sisters of CSI Congregations across North America. The CSI North Amer-ican Council also happens prior to the Conference. Kindly do continue to pray earnestly for the Confer-ence. and let us give our best in terms of participation. Still again, I humbly request the Congregation to bend your knees before God with your eyes filled with tears and heart filled with faith for the conference. May the good Lord bless the gathering of all North American CSI families here in Toronto. I thank God for all who are toiling day and night, taking time out of their busy schedule to make the conference possible in an effective and fruitful manner. I thank God for all the talents, ideas, efforts and enthusiasm offered towards the fruitful completion of the conference. May God bless all.
Mrs. Ruby Mathews lost her sister and Mr. Jacob John lost his mother. Let us continue to pray for the be-reaved family members who mourn the passing away of their dear ones to their heavenly abode. May the Lord of peace keep the families in His grace.
Kindly bear in your prayers all students who are having examinations. May God almighty grant them a very fruitful future so that they could witness the Lord.
May God bless and keep all the members of the Congregation in His grace.
Yours in His Service,
Siby Achen.
Dearly beloved in Christ,

Men’s Fellowship
My Men's Fellowship Experience
Christopher Gajraj
I have been a member of this church for about 9 years. Yet, this was the first time I participated in a Men's Fellowship activity. Not being Malayalee, I was not sure how I would be received, so I hesitated to go. However, a voice kept pushing me to go, and I was really shocked at my experience. I was overwhelmed at how welcome everyone made me feel. It was my first time spending time with these men outside of church. I really bonded with the men and got to know them on a deeper, more personal level.
I learned so many interesting facts about the men. I had some interesting conversa-tions with the guys on a personal level where as at church I would only say hello. I am not Malayalee and don't speak the native tongue, but God urged me to go on this fellowship to bond with my new found brothers.
I look forward to the next fellowship. I encourage more men at church to join us. Everyone is busy with family and work, but making an effort to participate in just 1 fel-lowship activity has motivated me to keep participating and help build our church.
