The History of the Flame

The Olympic Flame is a symbol of the modern Olympic Games. It was first introduced in 1928 summer Olympics in Amsterdam. The flame was kept burning during the ancient Olympics. It is said to be a reference to Prometheus because in one of the Greek myths Prometheus stole fire from the Greek god Zeus when Zeus hid it from man. CLICK HERE
