Welcome back to the Opus Legacy, a joint legacy betweenilovereecee/Katie and myself, hippielayla86. The naming theme for thislegacy is our favorite books. The books that have been used so far are theDragonriders of Pern Series by Anne McCaffrey, and Gone With the Windby Margarett Mitchell. Two female authors so far, we'll see if that trendcontinues. Currently its the 3rd generation's time to shine with Melanie(Melly, Mel) Opus as our heiress. She and her sisters, Ellen, Scarlett (Scar)and Tara are all teenagers and are getting restless at home with their fatherSebell/Seb (generation 2 heir) and their mother Andrea. It looks like itmight be time for them to leave the nest and venture into the unknown

world. We'll see how Seb copes with his daughters being out on their ownwhen he didn't like seeing them with their dates at home, I don't knowwhat he's going to think when he's just hearing about it...This chapter will be told from the perspective of our heiress Melanie and

So my sister Ellen has finally gotten her wish, Mom and Dad agreedthat she's ready for college. I can see that Mom is really pushing Dadto be okay with this, I know Dad is going to have a hard time lettinggo of all of us. Maybe he'll finally talk Mom into adopting anotherchild once we're all off to college, but something tells me Mom willsay no.

ready to go, but weweren't ready for herto go! We're all going

to miss our big sister.We were all there tosee her off to collegeexcept Dad, I think itwas intentional thatshe waited until hewas napping to leave.

Ellen has only been away for an hour or so, but I can already tell Tara

is missing her, she's been talking to me all day and following mearound. I think she's dreading when she'll be the only one in the housewith Mom and Dad. Don't get me wrong, they're great, I love them todeath, but Tara's never had their undivided attention, that willprobably be pretty intense!

Ellen called us from college, she said she's having a bit of a rough

time adjusting to living alone. And doesn't know what to do withherself. She has chosen a degree in Politic Science since she wants tohead up the SCIA, but her free time is what's perplexing her...

She said she tried taking up up dancing, but isn't going to take her

dance moves to the public any time soon.---Ellen's college transition outfit and dance moves were cracking me

up. It was as if she were looking at me, like, Really, you think I shoulddance right now? I don't think this is a good idea... okay, I guess I will if

you ask... can I stop now?

This has to be one of myfavorite college houses to edit,I've done this same remodel tothis rental house 3 times now. I

just like how it looks and plays.Though Ellen didn't have enoughmoney yet to get windows for

Before we knew it, a year had passed! Ellen was starting her

sophomore year of college. By this time, Dad and Mom were ready toaccept that it was time for both Scar and I to go to college as well. So Isat down and applied for my scholarships.

we knew it. And I thought Dadwas going to break down intears, but Mom did a good jobdistracting him, though Scardidn't seem to agree with hertactics... Poor Tara being the

I'm settling in quite well at college. I really like my classes and

actually enjoyed writing my term paper. It's all I think about really.Scar thinks I'm crazy!I've picked Physics as my major because I would love nothing more

than to design games as a career. So I guess when I know that I'mstudying to do something fun later in life, it makes it easier.---

really well. Ellen is a year

displeasure at dancing or ifsomeone was getting jealous ofme talking to Chris. I meanobviously he'd be a bettermatch for Ellen, they're even

I could tell that Chris kept

So I found out that Ellen wasn't glaring at me, she was glaring at

Chris. The two of them actually know each other! Apparently they hada class together Freshman year before she had declared her major inPoli Sci, and she was upset that Chris didn't recognize her.The two made up with a hug when they realized. And I could've

sworn there was something in the air...---Chris and Ellen got a crush on each other after this hug.

could see him melting as Ellen was melting butter over their lobsterdinner.Looks like I'm not the only one obsessed with lobster anymore. Mom
