Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

InvocationP In the name of the Father and of the T Son and of the Holy Spirit.C Amen .

Welcome New Members

Childcare Development Center Commissioning

Confessions of Sins and God’s Word of ForgivenessP If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.C But if we confess our sins, God, who is faithful and just, will forgive our sins and cleanse us

from all unrighteousness.

Silence for reflection on God’s Word and for self-examination

P Let us confess our sins to God our Father.C Most merciful God, we confess that we are by nature sinful and unclean. We have sinned

against You in thought , word, and deed, by what we have done and by what we have left undone. We have not loved You with our whole heart; we have not loved our neighbors as ourselves. We justly deserve your present and eternal punishment. For the sake of Your Son, Jesus Christ, have mercy on us. Forgive us, renew us, and lead us, so that we my delight in Your will and walk in Your ways to the glory of Your holy name. Amen.

P Almighty God, in His mercy has given His Son to die for us and for His sake forgives you all your sins. As a called and ordained servant of Christ, and by His authority, I therefore forgive you all your sins in the Name of the father and of the T Son and of the Holy Spirit.

C Amen. (John 20:19-23)

Prayer of the DayP The Lord be with you. C And also with you.

P Let us pray.C O God, our refuge and strength, the author of all godliness, by Your grace hear the prayers of

Your Church. Grant that those things which we ask in faith we may receive through Your bountiful mercy; through Jesus Christ, Your Son, our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever.

The Old Testament Reading 8:00 11:00 MNP Habakkuk 1:1-4;2:1-4 Chris Oynes Jacob Lehrke Gary DeBacco

The oracle that Habakkuk the prophet saw.2 O LORD, how long shall I cry for help, and you will not hear? Or cry to you “Violence!” and you will not save? 3 Why do you make me see iniquity, and why do you idly look at wrong? Destruction and violence are before me; strife and contention arise. 4 So the law is paralyzed, and justice never goes forth. For the wicked surround the righteous; so justice goes forth perverted. l will take my stand at my watch post and station myself on the tower, and look out to see what he will say to me, and what I will answer concerning my complaint. 2 And the LORD answered me: Write the vision; make it plain on tablets, so he may run who reads it. 3 For still the vision awaits its appointed time; it hastens to the end-it will not lie. If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay. 4 “Behold, his soul is puffed up; it is not upright within him, but the righteous shall live by his faith.

L This is the Word of the Lord.C Thanks be to God.

9th Grade Confirmation Testimony – Jacob Lehrke – 11:00

The Second Reading 8:00 11:00 MNP 2 Timothy 1:1-14Becky Young Jonah Lehrke Mary Sitton

Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God according to the promise of the life that is in Christ Jesus, 2 To Timothy, my beloved child: Grace, mercy, and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord. 3 I thank God whom I serve, as did my ancestors, with a clear conscience, as I remember you constantly in my prayers night and day. 4 As I remember your tears, I long to see you, that I may be filled with joy. 5 I am reminded of your sincere faith, a faith that dwelt first in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice and now, I am sure, dwells in you as well. 6 For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands, 7 for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control. 8 Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord, nor of me his prisoner, but share in suffering for the gospel by the power of God, 9 who saved us and called us to a holy calling, not because of our works but because of his own purpose and grace, which he gave us in Christ Jesus before the ages began, 10 and which now has been manifested through the appearing of our Savior Christ Jesus, who abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel, 11 for which I was appointed a preacher and apostle and teacher, 12 which is why I suffer as I do. But I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed, and I am convinced that he is able to guard until that Day what has been entrusted to me. 13 Follow the pattern of the sound words that you have heard from me, in the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus. 14 By the Holy Spirit who dwells within us, guard the good deposit entrusted to you.L This is the Word of the Lord. C Thanks be to God.

L The Holy Gospel according to St. Luke, the seventeenth chapter. C Glory to You, O Lord. The Holy Gospel 8:00 11:00 MNP Luke 17:1-10

Roger Allen Eric Marx Bob Rivas

And he said to his disciples, “Temptations to sin are sure to come, but woe to the one through whom they come! 2 It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck and he were cast into the sea than that he should cause one of these little ones to sin. 3 Pay attention to yourselves! If your brother sins, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him, 4 and if he sins against you seven times in the day, and turns to you seven times, saying, ‘I repent,’ you must forgive him.”5 The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith!” 6 And the Lord said, “If you had faith like a grain of mustard seed, you could say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you. 7 “Will any one of you who has a servant plowing or keeping sheep say to him when he has come in from the field, ‘Come at once and recline at table’? 8 Will he not rather say to him, ‘Prepare supper for me, and dress properly, and serve me while I eat and drink, and afterward you will eat and drink’? 9 Does he thank the servant because he did what was commanded? 10 So you also, when you have done all that you were commanded, say, ‘We are unworthy servants we have only done what was our duty.’”

L This is the Gospel of the Lord. C Praise to You, O Christ.

Apostles’ Creed

C I believe in God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth. And in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried. He descended into hell. The third day He rose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty. From thence He will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Christian Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life T everlasting. Amen.

Offering

PrayersP Blessed are You, Lord of heaven and earth, for You have had mercy on those whom You created

and sent Your only-begotten Son into our flesh to bear our sin and be our Savior. With repentant joy we receive the salvation accomplished for us by the all-availing sacrifice of His body and His blood on the cross.

Gathered in the name and the remembrance of Jesus, we beg You, O Lord, to forgive, renew, and strengthen us with Your Word and Spirit. Grant us faithfully to eat His body and drink His blood as He bids us do in His own testament. Gather us together, we pray, from the ends of the earth to celebrate with all the faithful the marriage feast of the Lamb in His kingdom, which has no end. (Petitions will be inserted here) Graciously receive or prayers; deliver and preserve us. To You along, O Father, be all glory, honor, ad worship, with the Son and the Holy Spirit, on God, now and forever.

C Amen.

What does the Bible say about communication in marriage?

“Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.” 1 Thessalonians 5:11

Ways to improve how I communicate in my marriage: I will encourage my spouse and verbally express love. I will foster openness and trust with my responses.

SOUTHEAST MINISTRIES Just because the summer is over, doesn’t mean we are finished with our Southeast Ministries food drive! Trinity participates in Southeast Ministries’ food pantry YEAR – ROUND. We still need items in the carts such as peanut butter and jelly, diapers, canned meat and tuna, juice boxes, cereal, rice, beans and other non-perishables. Don’t forget to pick up a couple of cans or two while you are at the grocery store. Thanks for your continued support of this ministry!
