Jupiter

Jupiter has 50 official moons and 12 unofficial moons.

Io, Europa , Ganymede and Callisfo are the most well known moons.

Jupiter is 1318 times bigger than the Earth. Jupiter is 483 million miles from the sun. Jupiter has 3 rings. They are called Gossamer,

Main and Halo. If you travel to Jupiter, you would be very

heavy. Jupiter is a large planet, so it has more gravity.

Jupiter

Jupiter’s darkest spot is where a giant storm has been going on for 300 years.

The darkest spot is also known as “The Eye of Jupiter”.

Jupiter is the third brightest planet in the solar system.

It takes about 4332 days to make 1 orbit around the sun.

Over 1 400 Earths could fit inside Jupiter. Jupiter is the fastest spinning planet in the solar

system Jupiter spins really fast, it only take 10 hours to go

from day to night

Jupiter

Jupiter is a very stormy planet. Most of the storms on Jupiter seem to never end. Jupiter’s rings are very faint. You could only see the

rings if Jupiter passes in front of the Sun. More than 1000 Earths can fit inside Jupiter Jupiter doesn’t have belts. It takes 11 Earth years and 86 Earth days to make

1 orbit around the sun. It takes 9 hours and 55 minutes for it to make a full

rotation on its axis. Jupiter was explored by the Pioneer 10 and

11,Voyageur 1 and 2, Ulysses and Galileo.

Saturn

Saturn is 744 times bigger than the Earth. It is 888 million miles away from the sun. It’s the second largest planet. Saturn has 53 official moons and 3 unofficial moons. It takes 10 hours and 13 minutes to make one

rotation. The most well known moon is Titan. Titan is the second largest moon next to Jupiter’s

Ganymede. Its magnetic field is extremely strong. Saturn is the furthest planet from Earth that can be

seen without the help of a telescope.

Saturn

Saturn is not perfectly round like the other planets. Saturn is wider in the middle and more thin near its

top and bottom. Saturn is made up of mostly hydrogen and helium. Saturn also happens to be the root word of Saturday. Saturn is big enough to hold more than 760 Earths. If you put Saturn on the water it would float because

of the hydrogen. Saturn doesn’t have belts. It takes 29 Earth years and 29 Earth days to make 1

orbit around the sun. The Pioneer 11 , Voyageur 1 and 2 and Cassini-

Huygens explored it.

Saturn’s Rings Saturn’s rings are very thin. Saturn was also known as “The Ring Planet” and “the Lord of Rings”. Saturn’s rings are the A-ring, B-ring C-ring D-ring E-ring F-ring The Cassini Division separates rings B and A The main rings are A,B and C Saturn’s rings are made out of ice, dust and rocks The Encke Division splits the A-ring The divisions are the Cassini Division, Encke Division Keeler Division Maxwell Division The Divisions are named after the people who discovered them.
