Lamb of God, who take away the sins of
the world,
Spare us, O Lord.

the world,
Graciously hear us, O Lord.
Lamb of God, who take away the sins of
the world,
Have mercy on us.

L: Immaculate Mary, meek and
humble of heart.
A: Conform our hearts to the heart of
Jesus.
Let us pray:
O most merciful God, who for the salva-
tion of sinners and the refuge of the
wretched, has made the Immaculate Heart
of Mary most like in tenderness and pity
to the Heart of Jesus, grant that we, who
now commemorate her most sweet and
loving heart, may by her merits and inter-
cession, ever live in the fellowship of the
hearts of both Mother and Son, through
the same Christ our Lord.
Amen.

NATIONAL HIV TESTING DAY Tuesday, June 27 June 27 is National HIV Testing Day, a
day to get the facts, get tested, and get in-
volved!
Nearly 1.2 million people in the United
States are living with HIV, and one in eight
people don't know they have it. Nearly
45,000 people find out they have HIV eve-
ry year.
HIV testing is the gateway to prevention
and care.
People who test negative have more prevention tools available today than
ever before.
People who test positive can take HIV medicines that can keep them
healthy for many years and greatly reduce their chance of passing HIV to
others. More than 90% of new HIV infections in the United States could be
prevented by testing and diagnosing people living with HIV and making
sure they receive early, ongoing treatment.
Find out more about what you can do at www.ihmatlanta.org.

“An evangelizing community gets involved by word and deed in people’s
daily lives; it bridges distances, it is willing to abase itself if necessary, and
it embraces human life, touching the suffering flesh of Christ in others...An
evangelizing community is also supportive, standing by people at every step
of the way, no matter how difficult or lengthy this may prove to be. It is
familiar with patient expectation and apostolic endurance. Evangelization
consists mostly of patience.”
- Pope Francis, The Joy of the Gospel
Eligible students will receive the Eucharist for the first time during regular Mass
times on the weekends of May 5-6 and May 12-13, 2018. Preparation will take place
throughout the school year, including the student’s first celebration of the Sacrament
of Penance (confession), which will take place at special penance services in Novem-
ber. In accordance with Archdiocesan guidelines, a student may be considered eligi-
ble to receive the Eucharist if he or she:
1. Is a baptized Catholic who attends Mass regularly
2. Is in the 2nd grade or older
3. Received religious education during the previous school year, either at a
Catholic school or in a parish program.
4. Is also enrolled in religious education for the current school year, either
at a Catholic school or a parish program.
