And just like that – February arrives! The month of groundhogs, love, presidents, and school vacations! It seems we just celebrated the birth of Jesus and now we are moving closer to the day we remember His death and resurrection. The PBC Kids and PBC Stu-dents will take a joint trip to Baptist Manor on Wednesday, February 15 to share some special Valen-tine’s Day love with the residents. The kid’s, students, and adults all enjoy spending time together singing, sharing, and making crafts. The kids choir is back in swing preparing their special song for our Year One celebration. They will soon begin to work on the spring Talent Showcase. We have such an amazing group of talented kids, so I know you will enjoy this event later in spring. As many parents begin to prepare their summer cal-endars for vacations and family time, please mark down the following important dates here at PBC! Vacation Bible School will be Sunday, June 4-Thursday June 8 from 6:30-8:30 PM. Kids currently in grades 3-5 will attend Preteen camp at Woodland Camp Sunday, June 11- Wednesday, June 14. Kids currently in grades 1-2 will attend First Timers Camp at Wood-land Camp July 5-7. Sports Camp will be held Monday, July 24-Wednesday July 26 in the evenings. The summer will be full of fun, friends, and family! Adult volunteers are always welcome (and needed!) with our summer events. If you are interested in help-ing with VBS or once a month in our church nursery during the worship hour – give me a call here at the church!

As you know, Upward@PBC is in full swing. Game

days begin every Saturday at 9:00 a.m. and the

last game begins at 4:00 p.m. Come out and

support this wonderful ministry of our church and

all of the kids that run onto the court each week

as they are introduced with their team.

Upward is the biggest outreach program our

church has. We have 225 participants this season

and in excess of 1,800 people have been in

attendance over the first 3 game days. This

season, we have 99 players who have not listed a

church home. Do you know what that could

mean for PBC? How wonderful would it be if we

could get those families to come worship with us?

Please come out to the games, support the

program and those participating, and share the

love of God (and PBC) with those in attendance.

We have a prayer box at the gym on Saturdays

and have been receiving many prayer requests.

These are being forwarded to our church family in

hopes that you will pray for these specific needs.

Join us as we support these children and pray that

we will be the blessing to each of them that God

wants us to be.

It is hard to believe that February is already here. That means that the New Year is in full swing. The PBC Student Ministry wrapped up the month of January by taking 45 middle, high, college students and adult volunteers to Pigeon Forge, TN to attend the SDEA Strength To Stand Conference. The group had a great time listening to great speakers, bands and even getting to go to the Alpine Coaster. I want to say a big “thank you” to all the parents who went with us to make this trip a success. In the month of February, the PBC Student Ministry continues to allow the students opportunities to be in-volved. On February 5th, the PBC Student Ministry will be hosting a Chili Cook Off for the PBC Super Bowl Sunday Fellowship. Also, on February 4th, the PBC Student Ministry will be attending Winter Jam. Cost of this event is $30 and will guarantee admission along with great seats to the event. Coming up in the month of March is DNow Weekend. The dates for this event are March 17th-19th. It will be a great week of bonding, worship and discipleship. Lastly, but not least, Michelle and I would like to thank everyone for making our third year at PBC the great-est. We are truly blessed to have great support from a loving church.
