Nonviolence is the answer to the crucial political and moral questions of our time; the need for mankindto overcome oppression and violence without resorting to oppression and violence .At the center of

All human life is sacred. All human life bears the divine image. All human beings are living icons that

have been fashioned with the very breath of God. The elderly, the unborn, the mentally ill, the physicallydisabled, the weak, the strong, the rich and the poor, the Black and the White, the Christian and the

pagan, the heterosexual and the homosexual, the friend and the enemy, the sinner and the saint, themurderer and the pacifistall are equally created in the image of God. Thus, to intentionally destroy

human life for any reason is an act of blasphemy. The Christian must refuse to embrace any action orideology that violently undermines the sanctity of life or threatens the fundamental quality of life. TheChristian must therefore oppose war, abortion, capital punishment, poverty, racism, and pseudo-

scientific theories which teach that human life is the product of cosmic accident rather than thepurposeful design of a loving Creator. The Gospel of salvation is the glorious message that Christ died

and rose again to conquer sin and death. So the Christian must never oppose the Gospel of life byadopting anti-life philosophies and engaging in deliberate acts of violence, death, bloodshed, and humandestruction. ~ Gebre Menfes Kidus ~

The greatest destroyer of peace today is abortion, because it is a war against the child - a direct killingof the innocent child - murder by the mother herself. And if we accept that a mother can kill even her own

child, how can we tell other people not to kill one another? Any country that accepts abortion is notteaching its people to love, but rather to use any violent means to get what it wants. ~ Mother Teresa ~

war is wrong, and these years have proved that I am right. Nobody gains anything from war; everybodysuffers. I was put in prison again and again because I said that Japan should not have gone to war. If Ihad been in America, I expect they would have put me in prison there too, because I would have preached
