Midtown ExpressThe project formerly known as "SH 183 ManagedLanes Project" is an $850M design-build, finance, operate and maintain project that spans 28miles, five cities and two counties, is due to beginconstruction in spring of this year. The project hasbeen renamed "Midtown Express" as the scopeincludes more than just the reconstruction of SH183. The project now also includes work on SH114 and Loop 12. For that reason, the TexasDepartment of Transportation (TxDOT) andSouthGate Constructors (SouthGate) decided thata new name was needed to encompass the fullproject scope and enhancements the communitycan expect to receive.

"Midtown" refers to the project's location and thefact that these roadways connect Fort Worth andDallas, in addition to many cities in between."Express" signifies that, after completion, driverswill have the choice to travel on the new TEXpresslanes.

SouthGate is committed to keeping the publicinformed of the project's status throughout the lifeof the project. The public information team hasimplemented many tools in an effort to help thepublic stay informed. Please feel free to visit theirwebsite, follow them on social media and call oremail if you have any questions.
