What is Exro?Exro is a software design company that creates an Electric

Program Module (EPM), effectively a computer chip,

that communicates directly with an electric motor

and powertrain.

This EPM uses a machine learning algorithm that

integrates into the power electronics and essentially

acts as the ‘brains’ of the system.

With patented Real-Time Coil Switching Technology,

the EPM modifies the output and behavior of an

electric motor, on-the-fly.

High Torque Output

Electric Motor LimitationsBecause of the static nature of an electric motor, machines like

electric bikes, skateboards or scooters, are configured for optimal

performance on flat roads. But when going uphill or pushing

significant weight they quickly reach their limits.

To compensate, high performance vehicles like Porsche or Tesla use

two or more motors and multiple gearboxes to get the range of

power they need. One motor configured to deliver low-end torque

and another motor configured for high-end speeds.

EXRO's technology performs a coil switch in real time

as it learns the demands of the system.

A single motor can repeatedly change from a high

speed to a high torque configuration on-the-fly,

seamlessly, and under demand.

It's all done electronically.

This coil switch is totally fluid, the user in the vehicle

or operating the machine doesn't feel a thing.

After integrating the Exro software and EPM into

their existing motor and powertrain, the

Motorino bike was able to achieve a 25% increase in their top speed, and a 25% increase to their low-end torque.

EXRO technology can effectively turbo charge the overall performance and efficiency of an existing motor.
