Soon afterward he went to a town

Luke 7:11

called Nain, and his disciples and agreat crowd went with him....

Luke 7:12

As he drew near to the gate, a manwho had died was being carried out, the only son of his mother, andshe was a widow, and a consider-able crowd from the town was withher....

Luke 7:13

And when the Lord saw her, he hadcompassion on her and said to her,“Do not weep....”

Luke 7:14

Then he came up and touched thebrier, and the bearers stood still. And he said, “Young man, I say toyou, arise....”

Luke 7:15

And the dead man sat up and beganto speak, and Jesus gave him to hismother....

Luke 7:16

Fear seized them all, and they glori-fied God, saying, “A great prophethas arisen among us!” and “God has visited his people...!”

Luke 7:17

And this report about him spreadthrough the whole of Judea and allthe surrounding country.

and all, but I don’t know if I can buy it.”

Jesus of Nazereth...you crucified and killed by the

hands of lawless men. God raised him up, loosing the pangs of

death, because it was not possible for him to be held by it... This Jesus, God raised up, and we

are all witnesses.
