Wall branding when implemented correctly, can act as a powerful tool for improving your office environment. The benefits of wall branding are far reaching and can significantly impact your employee’s satisfaction and productivity levels. An engaging environment can also reinforce the company’s ethos and communicate directly with the workforce.

TPI have worked in close correlation with a number of companies to roll out branded walls within the office environment. The latest project coming from General Mills.

The kitchen and staff area was to have a new, creative feel to it. One in which employees could relax. A combination of motivational and humorous quotes on a blackboard

effect were decided upon in a bid to highlight a fun and laid-back atmosphere. Typical chalk colourings were selected for the writing to enhance the blackboard effect.

The install was also undertaken by TPI and the finished job left the kitchen and staff area looking like an entirely new room.

Wall branding gives you the opportunity to convey your organisation’s culture.

Louis Copeland

LouisLouis Copeland, a name strongly associated with men’s tailored clothing, has become renowned for offering a range of designer suits and casual attire. The company which was established almost 100 years ago, has grown significantly since its creation and has built a respectable reputation within the fashion industry.

It is due to this superior standing, that when they proposed a brochure to The Printed Image, it was clear that a luxurious feel would have to be showcased throughout.

From there the account manager worked closely with Louis Copeland to produce a brochure that communicated the high end fashion appeal synonymous with the brand.

A brochure is not only an exceptional method of promotion, it also allows the business to provide in depth information on their offering. It is a strategic marketing tool that enables a company to showcase a tangible representation of the brand. This in turn can increase awareness amongst consumers, a crucial aspect in today’s society.

TPI are more than happy to help with your brochure requirements. With the design skills of our studio The Creative Works, we can take a brochure from concept to delivery on materials

and finishes to enhance the finished piece. Don’t hesitate to get in touch with your sales representative on 01 408 9222.

Smarketing

The sales team in turn claim that marketing are out of touch with what’s really going on with customers on the ground level. The counterargument coming from marketing is that sales are only interested in the short term profits and not the longer term goals.

The debate has lasted for generations and one that has extensive literature attached to it. Most notably is Philip Kotler’s piece titled ‘Ending the War between Sales & Marketing’? Which we definitely recommend.

A new term that has crept into the world of marketing and sales in ‘smarketing’. Hubspot define smarketing as ‘alignment between your sales and marketing teams created through frequent and direct communication between the two.’

In the past, marketing used to be about branding, advertisements and general strategy driven

SALES

MARKETING

SMARKETING

5 key steps to Smarketing:1. SPEAK THE SAME LANGUAGE More often than not sales and marketing, although two sides of the same coin, are accountable for different measures. Smarketing means aligning sales and marketing around the same goal – REVENUE.

2. SET UP CLOSED LOOP REPORTINGClosed loop intelligence improves the quality of information both ways between sales and marketing.

3. IMPLEMENT A SERVICE LEVEL AGREEMENTAn SLA defines what each team agrees to COMMIT to each other in terms of support.

4. MAINTAIN OPEN COMMUNICATION Weekly Smarketing meetings, monthly management meetings to share and communicate.

5. RELY ON DATAFacts beat fiction every time. Create and share a common dashboard with the reports aligned around team goals.

SMARKETINGWhen sales are disappointing, marketing departments have a tendency to blame poor execution of the “brilliant rollout plan”...

SALES + MARKETING=

initiatives to leave consumers with a particular impression of your brand. It was believed that in turn, customers would keep you in mind when they were in a position to purchase your product.

Given the development of tactical initiatives, driven by online marketing, companies are seeing an increase of leads that originate from inbound marketing. This increases the need for effective communication between sales and marketing.

That’s a lot of words, what does it really mean and what can be done to improve it all? We all know that for many business owners, the day-to-day demands of their business distract from bigger picture growth goals. Tasks like “call this customer” and “email that estimate” take attention away from the strategies that can help your business thrive. Try to look beyond that…

In truth, the solution to your marketing woes is as simple as developing a clear approach based on lead and customer behaviours. Just as a business plan is essential for outlining the nature and scope of your business, a well-thought-out marketing plan will set the foundation for how you attract, capture and keep happy customers. Don’t forget to keep sales in the loop in all of this…

Henri Hippo

Henri Hippo has been a long standing representative of Ulster Bank, one which many of us are fondly familiar with. His introduction into the bank’s communication and marketing strategies began in the early 1970s as part of a campaign to encourage children to think of savings from a young age.

Since his introduction as a savings box, Henri Hippo has encouraged a sense of affection and recognition between the bank and its customers. Since he came to be, Henri Hippo has remained a potent marketing tool for Ulster Bank, progressing from a hippopotamus on all fours to a humanised version which saw him standing tall on two feet with a full personality included. He also acquired clothing along the way.

As this campaign is primarily targeted at the younger segment of the market, Ulster Bank came to TPI Premiums and requested a more modernised version of Henri Hippo. One that would appeal to today’s generation of young savers; a friendlier looking model.

Ulster BankThe Evolution of Henri Hippo

10

The Premiums team understood that the iconic persona that is Henri Hippo would still have to remain intact, with slight changes being made to achieve this new look. Premiums worked closely with Ulster Bank’s marketing team throughout the refresh. Together they created a ‘cuter’ and ‘friendlier’ version of the legendary hippo.

THE REFRESH INCLUDED:

» A smaller, more shapely figure » Henri Hippo smiling » Brighter eyes to correspond with the smile

» Smaller ‘cuter’ ears » Centering of the logo to make it more prominent

» A lighter, smoother plastic was used to ensure the finish was child friendly

Each of these changes combined to give Henri Hippo an entire new look and feel whilst still remaining true to the origins of his creation. The TPI Premiums

team then ensured that the agreed modifications were carried out to the highest quality and delivered to their client.

If you want to see the new and improved Henri Hippo money box, all you have to do is open a youth savings account with your local Ulster Bank.

TPI Digital Innovations

At The Printed Image we are embracing Web2Print portal services and for good reason.

The term Web2Print has been around for several years but the concept is only beginning to gain popularity in today’s climate of cutting cost and improving efficiencies from both the client and a print provider perspective. Most importantly it makes the procurement and distribution of print through The Printed Image easier for our clients.

Any large organisation with multiple buyers or operating in multiple locations can benefit greatly from our Web2Print service. Each location has the ability to order and customise their printed requirements, within the specified design and brand constraints, themselves. Consistency in branding is always a concern within franchise networks and group operations; key to achieving this consistency is often in the marketing literature, from menu cards to business cards, from leaflets and letterheads to newsletters and so on. This is where a Web2Print portal service is invaluable.

One of the added benefits of most Web2Print services is that

12

TPI Services

SERVICESJoin us in our move from offline to online!

the user interface can be tailored to the client’s exact requirements. It automatically books a job into the print system, creates print-ready artwork and processes everything up to the print stage.

The advantages of using a Web2Print solution are many and here are just a few of them…

• Branded client Web2Print portal

• Streamlined admin allowing localised ordering online in minutes.

• Brand Management with pre-approved templates allowing brands to control content.

• Localised users can customise, approve and place orders for products instantly online.

• Brand consistency is managed as areas of templates remain consistent throughout but allow for controlled customisation for branch offices or franchisees.

• Streamlined transfer of data resulting in shipping, purchasing and personalised billing integration with third party software providers.

• Cost savings on admin and obsolesence.

• Faster turnaround and automated order processing at The Printed Image.

CLIENT BENEFITS:Our Web2Print solution provides clients with unique product ordering capabilities.

PRINT-ON-DEMANDReducing obsolence and only ordering what is needed.

STOCK MANAGEMENT Stock products can be ordered online.

CUSTOMISED PRINTUnique personalisation of products to local needs. Create and approve online.

NON-PRINT ITEMSOther non print related items can be ordered online such as merchandising.

It is an additional benefit that client administrators can monitor activity with real-time reports and visibility on work in progress, order history or detailed analytic reporting on account spend in key areas of the business.

TPI have introduced TPI Box, a TPI branded client interface which easily allows the file transfer of large documents between TPI and clients. Given the nature of our business, we are handling large files on an all too often basis. We deal in high res artwork making its way from the client to design and onto print multiple times per day. Added to that is our 100

strong workforce who’s primary source of file transfer is through email. The effects of the above on our servers was damaging, while trying to easily manage files was proving tedious.

To counteract the above and provide added value to our clients, TPI have launched TPI Box.
