GOD MAKES A PROMISE (Heart 1: Garden of Eden)“I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her offspring; he shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise his heel.” Genesis 3:15
Adam and Eve lived happily in the Garden of Eden, but they let sin enter in through disobedience to God. Their disobedience brought sad consequences. But God, in his great love, gave them a promise that one day He would send a Savior.
GOD KEEPS HIS PROMISE (Heart 2: Birth of Jesus)But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of woman, born under the law. Galatians 4:4
During four thousand years people awaited the fulfillment of God’s promise. Perhaps some thought that God had forgotten his promise. But He did not forget. God always keeps his promises. One day the Savior was born. (Tell the story of the birth of the Savior.)
JESUS FULFILLS THE PROMISE (Heart 3: Cross)But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8
It was not enough that the Savior be born. It was necessary for Jesus to give his life for us. He died on a cross to obtain forgiveness for our sins. Before his death, Jesus said, “It is finished.” The promise God made in the Garden of Eden was fulfilled by Jesus Christ on the Cross.
I BELIEVE IN THE PROMISE (Heart 4: Crown)“Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.” John 3:36
God promised a Savior, and the Savior came. This means that through Him we have eternal life. Jesus will return again soon. He will take us to heaven and give us the crown of life. Jesus came the first time to fulfill the promise of God. Jesus will come again, because He himself has promised that He will come back.
“WHOEVER BELIEVES IN THE SON HAS ETERNAL LIFE.”(Use this promise to invite those who want to receive the Lord Jesus as their personal Savior.)
