    The Rumor Mill Juicy Tidbits Heard ‘round the Barony!

    Rumors abound… that our new seneschal, Lady

    Naomi, is at the helm! Run, Baron William, run!

    Cheering from River Point… they too have a

    new Seneschal. Lord Nathaniel has just taken

    over the position. Good luck!

    Whispers around town is that Pennsic was…

    hot, muggy, stormy, cold, wet, fun, busy and

    wonderful! I don’t know about you but I am still

    doing laundry!

    I heard… that the victor of the last Cross & Lily

    Tourney was Sir Amos and the chivalry prize

    went to Sir Kieren. Huzzah gentlemen!

    Scandalous news…. starting next month Caer

    Mear will have a new baronial chronicler! This

    lil’ otter is moving on up to Kingdom chronicler.

    It has been a joy entertaining you every month.

    These photos were taken at the Pennsic Recovery Party by Lady Gytha. It

    started out with torrential rains and with the help of good friends, the sun

    came out and we had a glorious day!

    We have a full calendar for the rest of the year. We will

    have a "Hat of the Month" feature as well as Dancing in

    preparation for Yule.

    November 6th: Election Day!

    November 13th: Coifs, Medieval Head Coverings

    November 10th: Thanksgiving week, no A&S

    November 27th: Dancing with Baroness Inga

    December 4th: More Dancing with Baroness Inga

    December 11th 14th Century Hoods with Lady Brianna

    Classes will start up in January. Possible Subjects: A His-

    tory of Caer Mear, Open Hoods, Archery Marshall,

    Sekunjamen and Beginning Embroidery. Let me know if

    you wish to teach a class or want a class taught.

    Battles of Britain * September 29, 2012 * College of Yarnvid

    The College of Yarnvid wishes to invite all good gentles to our yearly event Battles of Britain to share in a day

    of laid back tournaments and fellowship.

    Martial Activities: There will be tournaments held in Archery, Armored and Rapier.

    Arts & Sciences Activities: An A&S contest will be held for best item representing the British isles. Your

    entry can be anything relating to that area but MUST be accompanied with appropriate documentation.

    Cost: Adult, Member: $5.00 Day-Trip $0.00 Feast $0.00 Camping

    Adult, Non-Member: $10.00 Day-Trip $0.00 Feast $0.00 Camping
