Join clergy and lay people dedicated to offering deep spiritual formation for adults and learn about the Basics Classes that are part of The Restoration Project (TRP). The Basics—Basic Anglicanism, Basic Bible, Basic Christianity, and Basic Discipleship—offer a fresh perspective and deep engagement with the basics of our faith. At churches throughout the country, the Basics Classes have been used to form inquirers, new Christians, and the lifelong faithful who are looking for “more.” Basics Classes can stand alone for adult formation or be part of the larger TRP approach and have been used in parishes to help move churches from acting as service providers to creating communities of active disciples. During our time together, we’ll share:
• how and why to do this work• why there are no gimmicks, only the slow work of long-term commitment• the core curriculum for the Basics classes• time creating your own curricula to fit your church• big picture information about The Restoration Project
Workshop Leader: The Rev. E. Suzanne Wille
With a background in teaching, curriculum development, non-profit programming, and as a parish priest, Suzanne Wille brings a depth of experience to teaching the Basics to small groups and other leaders.
As the rector of All Saints in Indianapolis, she understands the challenges and successes of smaller congregations. She uses the Basics Classes with both adult formation and Inquirer’s programs and can testify to the results: increased discipleship and deepening faith.
Suzanne Wille is on the leadership team of TRP and regularly teaches the TRP Basics Classes.

What to Expect
With in-depth analysis of the content and intent of each Basics Course, the Workshop sessions will lead you through discussions and exercises for integrating the Basics Classes into existing adult education and inquirer’s programs. Participants will receive materials, class outlines, shared stories, and more tools to immediately start teaching the Basics within their own parishes.
Workshop Location
The workshop will take place in Indianapolis, Indiana at the Episcopal Church of All Saints. As one of the TRP leadership churches, All Saints consistently explores and adapts the Basics Classes to assist small group faith formation. As such, the church contributes to the growing knowledge-base with other Episcopal parishes dedicating resources to The Restoration Project, and as a way to assist spiritual growth and discipleship.
