The retreat takes place in the Riviera Maya from July 1st until September 30th of 2013. We have fully furnished, private accommodations that include cable television, high speed Internet, fully stocked kitchen, sheets, towels and everything you need to make yourself at home for three months. Maid service included. All you need to show up with is your laptop, some clothing and a desire to learn!

Breakfast and dinners are included for the duration of your stay. Your time is for studying and building your brand and Spanish language skills, not worrying about food and grocery shopping. This is a three month program to change your life and establish a passive income, not stress about going to the store. We want you to focus entirely on your personal growth, not deal with the daily grind.

Every evening, Monday through Friday, immerse yourself in three hours of brand building training. This class is taught in English. Classes are from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The entrepreneur class takes you through the various stages of an online venture, from the concept stage to the building a basic WordPress website to design and content generation and then into newsletters, social media, marketing, Search Engine Optimization and everything you need to know to take your brand from the baby steps to a fully function business providing you with active and passive income.

It doesn’t matter if you are a complete newbie to online business, or you are someone with an existing online enterprise that you simply want to beef up. We’ll build your company and social media presence up together from the ground up, as a group, working as a team to create the ultimate online businesses for every member. You’ll be utilizing the existing Marginal Boundaries network to leverage your product or service, and we video blog the journey of the team via our YouTube channel for maximum exposure.

Every morning, Monday through Friday, spend three hours in an intense language immersion course. We teach Spanish as the language for the program. Classes are from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m.

Latin America is the NUMBER ONE job market in the world right now with an online gold-rush going on right now in terms of clients looking for designers, writers, coders, social media managers and more...in the Spanish language. While the English language world might be suffering from a crisis, the Spanish language market is not.

Our language classes are taught by Cristina Barrios.

Each afternoon is filled with cultural activities in and around The Riviera Maya. That means plenty of beach time, hitting the local markets, going to the movies, the plazas, the parks, the best local restaurants and cultural activities such as the theater. We highly encourage participants to use their Spanish during these afternoon outings! Practice makes perfect, after all!

We fully immerse you in the culture of the Riviera Maya so that you are not only learning the language, but learning the culture as well, to better respect the people and live alongside them should you decide to make this a more permanent home upon embarking on your location independent journey after graduation.

Weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) are yours to do with as you please, and the Riviera Maya is jam-packed with adventure tours and coastal activities to enjoy. Whether you want to go sports fishing, cenote-diving, snorkeling off the coast of Cozumel, beach-BBQing on Holbox or just hanging out at Playa Norte on Isla Mujeres, there is a never-ending stream of things to do here. Not to mention dozens of Maya ruins that are easy day trips from Cancun.

As a going-away present for the graduates finishing up the retreat, we have a special 8 day, 8 night adventure tour as a way of celebrating your newfound creative and financial freedom. The tour takes place from September 23rd until September 30th.

This includes the ruins of Chichen Itza, Palenque, the city of San Cristobal de las Casas, Agua Azul, Agua Clara and beyond, exploring jungle hiking trails, local villages, markets and more along the way. All activities + lodging + private transportation + 2 meals per day are included.

The cost of Destination Freedom is $6,000 per individual or $9,000 per couple. This includes three months of language lessons, three months of social media training, brand building, website development and online entrepreneur classes, three months of fully furnished accommodations, whole food breakfasts and dinners included, maid service and access to the Riviera Maya.

We video blog every step of the journey, from start to finish, for our YouTube channel to maximize your exposure and help you achieve the greatest level of success as you launch your brand and master your social media.

On top of that, we are archiving the footage for a documentary that covers the transformation of our three retreat groups for 2013. This documentary details the rise of the location independent lifestyle and those who have mastered it for their own absolute freedom. This will be released in early 2014 as a full-length film, and will feature all of the various retreat members and their businesses as the focal point, with a follow-up interview to see where the various businesses are at 6 months or later on down the road.

There will also be guest speakers featured throughout the program teaching additional classes on website development, design and online entrepreneurship, both physically and via Google+ Hangouts.

The remainder of your fee is due IN FULL on or before July 1st, 2013. We accept cash in USD or a direct wire transfer. The total cost (including deposit) for individuals is $6,000 for three months, or $9,000 for couples for three months.

Your laptop, some clothing and a desire to learn and achieve and work together in a community setting to create your own reality through digital means, all while adventuring alongside people who will become your friends and business partners on your new journey. I myself showed up to Mexico in 2010 with only my laptop and a 35 liter backpack and have been following this path since then.

As a general rule, most people from around the world are allowed to come to Mexico and stay for 180 days’ duration on a passport alone. Be sure to check with your local consulate’s website for exact details.

You will need petty cash for things like movies, theatre tickets, eating out, random events and general transportation in and around Cancun for your weekend treks and any afternoon outings. You will also need some spending money for the adventure tour to cover trinkets and souvenirs as well as snacks.

A rough estimate would be $200 per person, per month for petty cash, but you’ll have to spend pretty hard to get to that point. If you are frugal, you won’t spend that much…plus we’ll be showing you all the local discounts, real prices for transportation and so on.

We meet you upon arrival at the Cancun airport and bring you to the property. We’ll also help you get back there when you are ready to head out. We also send out a list of contact information so you will have our cell phones if you need to get hold of us for any reason once you land.
