Goal:• Rube-Goldberg stamp device that uses

projectile motion, conservation of energy and conservation of momentum

Parts:• Total cost: ~$13

Process

1 – Sling Shot• Uses elastic potential energy• Converts to potential energy• Launches ball into air

2 – Funnel and tube• Converts potential energy to kinetic energy• Falls down tube

3 – Collision and end of tube• Conserves momentum• Moves up 3.25” through tube

5 – Stamper• Elastic potential energy to kinetic energy• Stored energy in mousetrap

6 – Paper stamped
