CLOVIS COMMUNITY COLLEGE ADVANTAGE PROGRAM (CCCAP)

The Community College Advantage Program (CCCAP) is a partnership between Clovis Community College and Clovis High School. The CCCAP program is a bridge from high school to college to provide an introduction to the community college system. This program provides high school students with the opportunity to take two college level courses each semester for one year during their senior year in high school. Students receive dual enrollment HS credit and college credit.

CCCAP DETAILS & APPLICATION PROCESS

COST Tuition and health fees are waived for students participating in the

High School Enrichment program. Students are responsible for purchasing supplies and books required

for each class.

ELIGIBILITY To qualify for the program must be a senior with a cumulative high

school GPA of at least 2.5. prefer a 3.0 or above. Approval from the high school principal, a high school counselor, and

a parent ARE REQUIRED- 26 spots available. Student must be enrolled in 4 classes at CHS

ProcessMeet with your counselor and get the CCCAP application packetComplete the High School Enrichment packet with signatures from

parent, HS counselor and HS principal Complete the on-line SCCCD Admissions Application for EnrichmentCCCAP courses include Art 2-Art Appreciation, Psychology 2-General Psychology, History 1-Western Civilization to 1648, Sociology 1A-Intro to Sociology (may not substitute courses).*Note: If you have already taken AP Psych or Art 2-Art Appreciation, speak to your counselor before enrolling in CCCAP.

The Clovis Community College High School

Enrichment program offers students in the 10th,

11th, and 12th grades an opportunity to enroll in

college courses and receive college credit.

PROCESS High school students must begin the process with their high school counselor and complete the paper

enrichment application.

Complete community College admissions on-line application (available October 1st for spring & April 1st for summer/fall). For the term, students will select the year and Enrichment (example: 2020 Enrichment).

Student will be directed to Clovis, Fresno, or Reedley Community College Admissions Office to enroll in Spring Classes November 7th ,2019 and summer school classes registration begins May 1, 2020 based on availability (first come first serve basis).

The Summer Scholars Advanced College Academy offers future 10th, 11th, and 12th grade students the opportunity to enroll in summer courses at the Clovis Community College Center. Similar to the other two programs mentioned above, enrollment and health fees are waived but students are responsible for purchasing their own textbooks and supplies. Students are allowed to complete up to 2 courses during the 6 week summer session and dual credits may be earned during the summer session. Clovis High offers 19 Advanced Placement courses. Students must take the AP test at the end of the course and pass with a score of 3, 4, or 5 to earn college credit. Most colleges and universities will honor AP courses for college credit. Check with the individual schools to see their AP credit policy. See your counselor for details or questions.Available to sophomores, juniors, & seniors.
