Arrive earlyIt's a good idea to arrive at least 30 min-utes early so you can have plenty of timeto find a parking spot, pick up your tickets, use the rest room and get something at theconcession’s counter.

Use the restroom BEFORE the showand DURING intermission

Turn your cell phone offEven if you have it on vibrate, people canstill hear the buzzing and it's very distract-ing. Don't talk or text on the phone DUR-ING the performance. If you need to take acall, please wait until a scene change be-fore you leave.

Coming and GoingPlease don't get up and leave during theperformance unless it's an emergency. Ifyou do need to leave or come back in,please wait until there is a scene change.

FidgetingPlease sit still. Bumping your elbows intoyour neighbors or kicking the seat in frontof you is annoying. If you have kids, pleasekeep them in control.

« Sight linesTry to avoid large hairdos and hats. Alsoavoid snuggling up to your date because itmight block someone's view behind you.

PhotosVideotaping and taking photos during theperformance is a distraction to the perform-ers, other patrons and is often illegal. Please don’t take photos during the show.

Other Etiquette Guidelines

« Please refrain from talking, humming, orsinging along with the show, exceptwhen encouraged to do so by the per-formers.

« Please wait for an appropriate time todig something out of your pocket or bag.

« Please do not make noise with candywrappers or popcorn bags.

« Outside food and beverages are notpermitted in the DeSoto Theatre.

« Go easy with the perfume and cologne, many people are allergic.

« The Overture (intro music at the start ofa musical theatre show) is a part of theperformance, so please be quiet when itbegins.

« Don't put or throw anything on thestage.

« Pay attention to the announcementsthat are being made prior to each showabout the rules and regulations and thelocation of the fire exits.

« Do not whistle or scream out to the per-formers, except for a Bravo or Brava inthe finale.

Now for some Dos:

« Do laugh in appropriate places.

« Do applaud with enthusiasm in the ap-propriate places.

« Do tell all your friends, after the show, what a great time you had.

« Do applaud when the performance isover; doing so shows the cast and thecrew how much you appreciated theirhard work and effort.

« Stand and applaud if you really thoughtthe show was great.

Welcome to the show that was neversupposed to happen. If I had a dollarfor every time someone has told methat “RLT will NEVER do The RockyHorror Show”… you get the picture. I would be amiss if I didn’t start rightout by acknowledging one of the big-gest reasons why you are sitting in theseats today, ready to get your socks(and shorts) knocked off by an incredi-ble, sexy, talented, quirky and overallbad-ass cast: That reason is HollyMoore. I sat across from her and CarolMurchland during our reading commit-tee in 2012. We grinned at each otherand I remember Holly holding the RHSscript and saying “why don’t we?” Sowe did. Then we presented it to therest of the committee. And they did. Then we nervously presented our rec-ommendations to the RLT Board.THEY did! Finally, you, our mem-bers… YOU did by voting for TheRocky Horror Show! So here we are with a production thatI’ve not only dreamed of doing at RLTbut I’m actually producing and gettingthe opportunity to add my own person-al touch! ‘A dream come true’ maysound silly but if you had lived the lastsix months with Tracy, Amanda, Lynne, this cast and me you’d understand whyI say it’s a dream. This experience hasbeen perfect, this cast has bonded andwe have become the closest of fami-lies. Just ask any of them; they willconcur! I am so excited for you, our audi-ence, to see the results of so manypeople’s time, imagination, efforts, hardwork and planning. I am pretty surewhen the curtain closes you’ll be head-ed back to your computer to purchasetickets for one more night. It’s that kindof show! Enjoy!

Don’t justdream it; beit. That is themessagefrom TheRocky HorrorShow. I wasvery lucky tobe raised byparents whoencouragedme to be any-thing I wanted

to be and who made sure I believedin myself. I wasn’t taught prejudiceor judgment but was raised to be-lieve everyone had a right to be whothey are and to love who they love. Isuppose my parents were radical inthis sort of belief in the 60’s but Ipray that is not so radical a belief inthis day of 2014. I am so proud to bea part of this production and thiscast and to push Rome Little The-atre a little out of its comfort zone. The talent you will see on this stageis exceptional. Someone told methat casting is 90% of directing, andwow: my casting committee did well.My job has been very easy.

I hope you enjoy this production asmuch as we have all enjoyed work-ing on it and performing it for you. This is certainly the type of showyou may want to see more thanonce. I encourage you to come backand participate. Throw your rice, popcorn, cards and heckle the cast. That’s part of the fun with this show.It is meant to be ridiculous and satiri-cal, so don’t take it too seriously andjust enjoy the humor in “us.” Life isfunny and laughter is good for thesoul, so they say. I want to thank Rome Little The-atre for accepting me into the foldjust four short years ago. I came to ashow (12 Angry Men), then audi-tioned and was cast in My Fair Ladyand have been here ever since. Ifyou are interested in being a moreactive part of Rome Little Theatre,Don’t just Dream it; Be it! Thank youfor coming to the show and support-ing RLT.

WORLDWIDE SYRINGOMYELIATASK FORCE, INC.

Worldwide Syringomyelia Task Force, Inc.is a non-profit organization formed with amission to educate the world about Syringo-myelia.

Syringomyelia is a progressive incurableillness that causes cysts also called syrinx-es to form on the spinal cord that destroynerves and irreversibly damage the spinalcord if it is not diagnosed in time. This con-dition can lead to other incurable illnessessuch as heart failure, pulmonary hyperten-sion, dysautonomia, and paralysis.

Our Founder & CEO Beth Nguyen has Sy-ringomyelia and as a direct result developedheart failure, intracranial hypertension, pul-monary hypertension, and POTS dysauto-nomia. She is a strong advocate for thosethat suffer from Syringomyelia and wants toeducate the medical community in order toopen the doors for positive changes for allthose affected.

Our Director of Marketing Ricky Clay alsohas Syringomyelia and suffers debilitatingsymptoms daily. He is another strong advo-cate for educating others. He is a talentedactor and musician!! He joined our team be-cause he wants to give back and help oth-ers who are affected. Ricky devotes his timeto music and acting in order to remain posi-tive in the face of his illness.

Currently there are few resources for thoseof us who have this disease. This is why it isvital to spread awareness! There are an es-timated 40,000 in the United States with Sy-ringomyelia and no data worldwide on howmany more.. it is suspected that many goundiagnosed each year to suffer in silence.

Do not delay; please go to our website anddonate to this worthy cause today!Thank you!!

Unusual photography is Chris’s forte and he has excelled.Add some fog and a little mystery to the shoot and WOW!

You have Chris Ozment Photography at its best.

Rome Little Theatre and the cast of Rocky Horror gives out aBIG THANK YOU to Chris for his generosity, flexibility and fabulous photos!
