St John Bosco Parish is a vibrant and worshipping community in the heart of Woodley. We are
committed to serve, to grow, to connect and to give.
The Roman Catholic Parish of
10th September 2017 - 23rd Sunday of Ordinary Time - Issue 1185
Dear Parishioners We are Fr. Luca and Fr. Raffaele. We belong to the Fraternity of St. Charles, a group of priests who live together in small communities We bring the word of Jesus Christ, whom all mankind are looking for.
I’m father Luca. I was born in Pavia, near Milan,1983. I studied engineering at the University and when I was 22 I entered the seminary of the Fraternity of St. Charles. I was ordained priest in 2012. My first mission was in Rome. There I spent a lot of time with the children and the young couples of the Parish of St. Mary in Domnica, near
the Colosseum. I also taught religion in two secondary schools in Rome.
My name is Raffaele Cossa. I’m 43 years old. I was born in Milan and I study Physics before entering the seminary. As a priest I worked 11 years in Lisbon, Portugal. It was a very exciting mission and it was a pleasure to meet a lot of Portuguese people. I had only met Fr Luca a cou-ple of times prior to our arrival in
Woodley. As yet, I don’t know him very well but I’m sure we will be friends in Christ and I hope we can help this parish to grow.
God Bless, Fr Luca & Fr Raffaele
