The Roofing Company

Established in 1976, with a couple of beat up trucks, a knowledgeable crew, and a book keeper. Since then, it has grown into one

of the largest roofing companies in the Rocky Mountain area with a fleet of 29 vehicles and numerous trailers, and over 70 employees. We have a crew of 25 living and dedicated to the Eagle County area, as well as a crew of 15 living and dedicated to the Summit County area. Through advances in technology and building science, we are now more capable than ever of providing not only roofing solutions, but building performance solutions, as well.

Because of our ever-changing services and the progress in building science, code requirements and products, we want

About TRC

The Roofing Company has specialized in installing quality commercial roofs in the mountains for over 42 years. The

feature that makes us different is that we are exceptional in our knowledge and execution of alpine roofing. Our staff, who live and breathe the mountains, understands that incorporating mountain specific designs, materials and craftsmanship is integral to building a roof that withstands extreme, high altitude conditions and rapid climate changes. Other contractors show up from different places, claiming to have experience building and servicing within alpine communities, but at the end of the day, they will climb into their trucks and head back

to the city while we remain. Since 1976, thousands of customers in Grand, Eagle, Routt and Summit counties have trusted The Roofing Company for their roofing needs.

Here at The Roofing Company, we incorporate a variety of services to give your building the best performance possible.

We are highly experienced in the installation of all

major roofing systems for both new construction and re-roofing. We also have skilled craftsmen experienced with unique roofing systems such as Chinese and Vermont slate, multi-colored concrete tile, rusted metal and Italian copper in its original state or with patina treatments.

We also offer traditional residential roofing applications such

as asphalt laminate shingles, wood and synthetic shakes, EPDM and TPO flat roofing, and standing seam metal systems at competitive prices. All our roofing systems are installed and maintained by a team of certified roofing experts.

Waterproofing the right way, the first time is extremely

Our Roofing WarrantyGrand County Roofing & Sheet Metal, Inc. D/B/A The Roofing Company, the address of which is P.O. Box 29, Granby, Colorado 80446 (hereinafter “TRC”) hereby warrants the work performed by it, subject to the limitations , exclusions and restrictions contained herein, so that the roof installed shall remain effectively water tight for a period of two years from the date of completion of the roofing. TRC shall, at its expense, make, or cause to be made, any repairs that may be necessary which result from the defects in the workmanship performed by TRC or materials supplied by TRC subject to the conditions contained herein.

TRC agrees that, upon written request from the owner, it shall, within 10 days of the date of said notice, make an inspection of the roof for defects in TRC’s workmanship or materials.

In the event that defective workmanship or materials are found, TRC shall, at its own cost and expense, make such repairs as are required by this warranty. Such work shall be completed within a reasonable time after the inspection.

In the event that TRC performs the inspection and determines that the defect is not a result of work performed or materials supplied by TRC, the owner shall pay the reasonable cost of the inspection. Such cost may include snow removal, removal of ice dams, removal of roofing materials and the like.

TRC shall be liable only to the limit of the manufacturer’s warranty for the materials installed.

This warranty is valid only with proper maintenance of the roof performed by TRC. Such maintenance may include, but not be limited to, replacing torn, or weathered shingles, snow shoveling, ice removal or any other maintenance procedures, which in any way affect the roof.

This warranty is not transferrable. Any obligation under it terminates if the property is resold or shall cease to be occupied by the owner with whom TRC originally contracted.

This warranty shall become effective only upon payment in full to TRC of all costs for the original installation by the owner.

THIS WARRANTY IS IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, STATUTORY OR OTHERWISE, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. ALL OTHER REPRESENTATIONS MADE BY TRC OR ITS REPRESENTATIVES AND ALL OTHER OBLIGATIONS OR LIABILITIES WITH RESPECT TO THE WORK COVERED BY THIS WARRANTY. IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS ARE EXPRESSLY EXCLUDED FROM THIS WARRANTY AND TRC’S OBLIGATION SHALL NOT EXCEEED ITS OBLIGATION AS SET FORTH IN THIS WARRANTY.

This warranty does not cover and TRC shall not be liable for the following:1. Any damage to the roof caused by work performed or materials supplied by others, structural defect in, or failure of the

building, the roof deck, or any other materials, including insulation over which the roofing materials supplied by TRC were installed and the work performed.

2. Damage due to mechanical abrasion or abuse by those other than TRC.3. Damage caused by inadequate or improper venting of the roof, or a cold roof.4. Damage caused by hurricane, lightning, tornadoes, gales, hailstorms, excessive winds, excessive snow loads, ice dams,

or such other natural phenomenon.5. Damage caused by flaws in the design of the roof.6. Damage caused by improper maintenance of the roof.7. Damage caused by walking upon the roof by others than employees of TRC.8. If the work performed is an overlay over an existing roof, the watertight portion of this warranty is null and void and does

not apply.9. If TRC does not install the dry-in/underlayment, this warranty becomes null and void.

This warranty specifially excludes any damage, which may result to the building or the contents thereof from any failure of the roof irrespective of whether or not such damage is caused by a defect in the work performed or materials supplied by TRC. It shall be the owner’s responsibility to protect the building and contents from any damage.
