All of the chairs of Service or Fundraising Committees have received an email with further details. It is VERY important that all service and fund- raising chairs (or a delegate) attend. Our annual family BBQ is taking place on Wednesday, September 9th, at Bob Ireland’s place on Watson Road. Tickets are still avail- able, please contact Ruth Thatcher. The District Conference is the weekend of September 19th – it runs from Friday night to Sunday morning, but it’s flexible – many at- tendees only attend for the Saturday. The theme is “Fun, Family and Filanthropy.” It’s in Bronte Provincial Park in Burlington, is very family friendly, and if you have joined Rotary in the last two years, the Club will cover $50 of your $100 registration fee. The program is largely focused on fun family activities, instead of the typical Rotary topics of fundraising, membership retention, etc. For more details or to register, go through the District 7080 Website. Lobsterfest is Saturday September 26th, and promises to be another success. The Rotary Leadership Institute is now open for registrations, and it takes place on Saturday, October 24th in Kitchener. It is a fast- paced, interactive program offered to refine a Rotarian’s leadership PROGRAM CONTINUED ON PAGE 2 2014-15 Rotary International President K.R.Ravindran Colombo, Sri Lanka District 7080 DG: Will Pugh, Burlington Lakeshore NOTE VENUE CHANGE FOR NEXT WEEK’S MEETING Lakeside Church, Conservation Road
