• Understand The Rotary Foundation’s new grant-making model.

• Identify the role of the club’s Rotary Foundation committee.

• Understand the Programs, Grants and Fund Raising needs for Annual Programs, Polio and the Permanent Fund.

• Select appropriate committee members.

Grant Type Descriptions

• District grants are block grants made to districts to support smaller projects locally and internationally. These grants can be used in either Pilot and Non-Pilot Districts.

• Global grants support larger projects with sustainable, high-impact outcomes in one of the six areas of focus. Can only be used in FVP Districts.

Stewardship• Ensure project oversight.• Establish financial controls. • Report any improper use of funds. • Implement projects as approved. • Submit appropriate reports. • Maintain records.• Attend district Rotary Foundation grant

management seminar.• Sign and implement the Club MOU.

TRF Club Strategic Plan

• Develop long-range and annual goals for increasing the club per capita giving to APF, Polio and Benefactors, Bequest Society.

• Identify potential Major Donors and Paul Harris Society members.

• Identify resources that will support these goals.

Program changes in FVP• Ambassadorial Scholars now called

Scholars. Must study in one or more of the 6 areas of focus and in a FVP District and be a graduate. Traditional Scholars can be funded through a District Grant.

• GSE program funded by District Grant or Vocational Training Team by Global Grant with $30,000 minimum.

• Minimum Global Grant is $30,000
